For the price paid, a little disappointed. We bought a very similar model from Bed Bath & Beyond for the same cost and are happier with it. This fan makes noise when on the lowest setting. It comes from inside the housing and sound like it has to do with the oscillating functionality. Sound is quieter on medium and high. My guess is we got a "bad" one. Since we don't run it on low and it is not worth sending back.

It does move a lot of air and we usually run it on high with the turbo engaged. Which brings up something we don't like about this fan. When the turbo mode is engaged, a bright blue light illuminates. This light is so bright we can see the shadow of the fan cage on the ceiling when in bed. We like the room to be VERY dark when we sleep and this light seems to be some sort of gimmick. Do you really need a bright blue light to know it is running on the highest setting?

The fan is solid and I like the heavy base. We don't really use the remote control much at all. I would rather have a lower cost fan with no remote. We generally set the fan and have no need to change the speed once it is running. Just turn it on and turn it off. I will say my days of buying the cheap plastic fans from the big box stores are over. This fan moves a lot of air and overall we are happy with it. If it cost a little less and they got rid of the bright blue turbo light, it would receive 5 stars from us.

I'm changing the rating to 1 star. This fan is so noisy on the low setting we can not even run it on low. If I hold the motor housing the sound stops. For what this fan costs this is unacceptable. I regret this purchase.

I bought this bought this fan in 2014 and I originally loved it. It's sleek, very powerful, and works well, and quiet for a fan. Now, 3 years later the neck of the fan breaks off completely! So, the head of the fan just dangles. I've never had a fan break like that and I've never had fans that have only lasted 3 years. My thoughts are that the head off the fan is too heavy for the base and the parts are not quality enough, not sturdy enough for the weight it has to support. Woke me up in the middle of the night because that's when it broke. Note that after a few reviews I realized I wasn't the only one this happened to. I'd suggest investing money on a different fan that will last as this one is already pricey so one would think it was better quality.

I've owned this fan for three (3) years and have been very pleased with its features: solid, stable base, extremely quiet operation, multi-functional features (speed, oscillation, etc.), and consistent, reliable operation. My primary complaint is that the grill has become extremely rusted (despite regular maintenance) and I haven't been able to locate a replacement. Based on similar complaints, this is a defect that should be remedied by the manufacturer.

Bought this fan 2 1/2 years ago. I do not live near the beach, yet the fan grill is rusted and the manufacturer will not stand behind it's product. Considering the price, this is very disappointing. I definitely would not buy from them again, at least anything expensive that I wanted to last.

For some reason, ever since I've gotten the fan, it's made a loud ringing noise on the turbo setting. Occasionally it'll do it on the high setting. I can't sleep without a fan and with that ringing sound it's near impossible to sleep with it on. And it's not even worth using the fan on medium or low for me to sleep with. I love the design and look of it, but the ringing defeats the whole purpose of "silent" fan, although I know it can't be silent, without the ringing it would be a five star review
