Spigot hole drilled off side, other than that...

The glass appears to be thick and of good quality, but I question it because the spigot hole is drilled so far off center that it JUST barely fits in the stand. Clearly the quality control is lacking to miss something THAT far off center. If they missed this, could they have missed something in the glass production that threatens the integrity of the glass? As you can see, (see pics) even a fraction of a milimeter more and it wouldn't fit in the stand all. I have a stainless spigot coming for it and am now concerned that it won't fit in the stand with the new spigot on. Very disappointing. (But we will see when it arrives.) Its possible that no one other than Me will even notice. For the price I will keep it. NOTE: Many previous reviews talked about how poorly it was packaged. Mine was not. There was a formed styrofoam base at the bottom of the box, and a separate formed styrofoam block in the top of the box. This jar wasnt MOVING inside its box. And that box was shipped inside a separate box with additional packing. So if there was an issue previously, they have responded to those concerns and have greatly improved their packaging.

Came on time, didn't crack like people warned, and the plastic gaskets held up really well. I've been using it a week with no leaks! Just wish the plastic spigot was a little sturdier.

Love these jars. We got one of them at first to try with our homemade liquid laundry soap. Liked it so much that we got another one to put in the kitchen for our homemade disinfect it. Wish the the spouts were not made of plastic otherwise they would have gotten 5 stars, but have had no problems with them so far.

I did a lot of research and found these and was so excited but to my dismis I didnt look at the 1 gallon correctly and they are smaller than I was expecting. It was my fault! However now I use them all the time for immediate family gatherings. So nice and many compliments.

We use it to make lemon water. It is the size that I needed and the quality is better than I expected. I replaced plastic spout by stainless steel one right away.
