No instructions....SMH

It would be nice if it came with instructions but it doesn't. At least mine didn't. The driver disk took several tries for the computer to find/read it. I thought it was all set up (back when I got it in Feb/Mar) but I guess not. Been trying to get it to work today for over an hour now and cannot find anywhere on my computer where it's located... got a shortcut but it goes nowhere. Tried to open it with various viewers, etc on the computer and nothing..... Can't figure out what else to do or how to do it. At this point this was a complete waste of money AND my time. Very disappointed.
Great Microscope, Beware of Software though.

The magnification on this is excellent.
We got this for our 14 year old daughter and we were amzed at how well it works. That being said, the software is crap. That is why it got 4 stars instead of 5.
Do NOT use with an old computer or the software will crash it.
We ended up hooking it up to our laptop and using Corel software instead.

Simply, put, this item is a piece of garbage. When you do get it to work (no mean feat) the quality is so bad, it's really not useable.
I've noticed that there are several different vendors selling this same crap under different names, for different prices. After having wasted my money on this, I wouldn't accept one for free.
Driver is a joke, and partially works after an hour of screwing with it. It's just a slightly re-worked generic laptop camera driver from 15 years ago.
The resolution on the "camera" is so awful, you can't even tell what you're looking at. Half the buttons don't even do anything.
It's not even 640x480. It's more like 200x220. And it bills itself as HD????
DO NOT BUY THIS> JUNK JUNK JUNK I would give this no stars, but I can't.

I use this one as a PCB soldering tool. It's very light and the LED give me a bright eyesight, the camera give me a good quality image,it's easy to get a screeenshots.

This is my first digital microscope. It is portable and easy to install. Once I reveived it, I made several samples and showed to my kids. They were surprised when they saw the details of tiny things under it. Now, they played with it quite frequently. I felt satisfied as it to some extent inspired my kids the interest in science.
