Comfortable and don't fall from ear

The description says that these headphones work for android. However, When I got mine yesterday (on time to be honest) they worked on my laptop (without button functions) but not on my htc m9 phone. In fact, my phone usually displays a headphone sign whenever something is plugged into the audio port, but not for these headphones. My phone didn't see them at all. I have other headphones that work perfectly so I know my phone is not the problem. I wanted these because my other pair is over the ear and I needed in-ear headphones. Since they don't work, they are really useless to me.
UPDATE: turns out the problem is from my phone. If these headphones don't work for your phone, try cleaning the audio port. You'll be surprised how much lint you'll find in there. The other headphones I had were working because it seems their audio jack is probably a little longer or thicker but I definitely needed to clean that port. Now that the headphones are working, I think the sound quality is perfect. They are very comfortable and this is the first time I own in-ear headphones that don't fall from my ear easily thanks to the different sizes of in-ear pieces that come with it. Button functions are working on my phone. The missing star is because the button functions didn't work on the laptop. I definitely recommend these.

I want to like these.
The Good:
+surprisingly comfortable
+packaging and extras are quite nice
+good bass
+good general articulation and clarity, with a caveat (a deal breaker for me, but maybe not for you, see below)
The Bad:
-balance issues: I have to set my audio balance heavily towards the right side for these to sound right with some sources (using my headphone amp seems to clear it up and make it consistent between sources). Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me. The last thing I want to do is have to constantly fiddle with balance settings to get the proper sound, or have to have my headphone amp with me at all times. Based on other reviews, having a single earbud fail is a common issue. Perhaps a flaw in the design or manufacturing, or a quality control problem.
-inline mic and controls feel cheap. Would've been better to just not have it there at all in my opinion.
1 star off for the cheap inline controls and mic. 0.5 stars off for the balance issue (total score rounded down since it's a deal breaker for me).

Can't be more satisfied ! ! ! I have tried a lot of IEMs at different price levels-10$-150$ before this one and I have to say the sound quality is awesome! The bass is detailed and full. You can definitely feel the boom-boom going on in your ear and it WON'T distort with vocals of other instruments. The mids and highs are crystal clear and are not piercing at all. The best thing I love about these is the wide soundstage it provides-I tried Hotel California with this pair with my eyes closed and I literally could imagine the position of each instruments. Vocals are clear and in a very comfortable distance-not too far not too close. It's not only the best among its price range, I'd say, it might be ranked top 5 under 150$, no exaggeration.
The build quality is pretty good and it's really comfortable to wear as well. The packaging is one of the best I have ever seen and it's got a lot of stuff in the box. No matter you are looking for a pair of good-sounding earbuds for yourself or searching for a gift for your friend, definitely buy those. I guarantee all they bring you is satisfaction and surprise!

These have a very good sound and an awesome mix. I am a fan of the bass and love to hear the separation of the highs, mids and lows.
