Got this for my boyfriend who does landscaping. His poor neck was fried from the sun despite frequent sunscreen applications. I chose this hat over others due in part to the neck guard, and the open mesh concept material to allow similar breathability as a straw hat, and comes in a light colored material. The strings to secure the hat in place work well.
His coworker immediately went out and bought the same hat only days after my boyfriend started bringing this to work, so it's been approved by several folks now.
It also has clasps on the sides of the brim if you'd like to pin them up. He sets his sunglasses on the top of the hat and they stay in place too.
