I am using the shoe leveler as recommended by my PT. As a result of hip surgery, I have one leg that is 1" shorter than the other. It has been about 2 weeks since I have received the leveler, and too soon to decide if it is working. I am still having some leg pain, but I am not swaying back and forth as much. The device is very comfortable and fits well, so I will give it several months before I decide either way. I sincerely hope it continues to improve my gait.

Been in a boot to the knee for 4 days and my back was killing me from the height difference between the boot and my tennis shoe on the other foot. I was skeptical, but this thing delivers! Super easy to put on, holds firmly in place, comfortable to walk on, and lightweight. If it were just 1/4 inch higher it would be a perfect height match for the boot, though I think I can make up that difference by adding an insole to my tennis shoe. Back pain improved almost immediately. If you're going to be in a boot for a while, save yourself from further injuries and get one of these. I wear a women's size 9 to 9 1/2 shoe and the medium was a perfect fit.

This is the best invention with a foot cast. It definitely evens up my walk and is preventing low back pain. I wish I had known about this with previous broken foot! It was simple to put onto my shoe and it's built very sturdy. Although I am size 10 and ordered the medium that covers 9-11, it sometimes feels like it needs to be bigger all the way around to stop me from leaning on the outside of my foot. But it does the job, is preventing me from walking incorrectly, and is preventing low back pain.

This thing was AMAZING and really helped make time spent in a big charcot boot a lot easier by keeping my other foot near level with the boot height. It truly deserves 5-stars for function and for value - BUT - the problem I have had is the things are just not that durable as I have had TWO of them fail miserably in the same way in as many months when the bottommost part of the shoe comes unglued and separates, leaving you with a very dangerous situation as your foot can slide and trip you! I work at home, so I did not abuse or overuse these by any stretch of the imagination.
They have a product that functions so well and can help so many - just step up the quality control - please!!!!!
UPDATE: The maker furnished me a new one to replace the ones that broke and this last one was better glued together and held well for the last few months I was in "the boot". Worked SO well for helping back/hip pain from uneven walking that I think EVERYONE who gets a boot or big cast should also get these. I am like an evangelist stopping strangers I see struggling with walking well in a single boot and telling them to get one of these right away.

Update: after wearing this for at most a week, the Evenup stretched and the Velcro started to come off. My sneaker doesn't fit and now has glue all over it. It the sticks to rug at work. I highly recommend trying a smaller size.
I have a boot on left foot. I wish I would have purchased this sooner but read some negative reviews, didn't get it and ended up injuring my right knee to the point that I can barley walk with boot on. So my doc suggested something to level my gait.
The Evenup will make you more balanced as long as your shoe does not have a larger then normal sole. I have hoka sneaks and the sole is a bit too high to wear with this shoe leveler. It will still work but I felt a slight difference and changed sneakers. It is awkward at first but I didn't feel it was heavy. It felt more comfortable to walk with it on.
My feet are 8.5 but my sneakers are usually 9-10. I ordered the medium and wonder if the small would have been better. If you are uncertain, check with a medical supply center. I didn't know the place I bought my boot from carried them until I went for my brace. I wish I would have at least tried it then.
Also want to note, make sure it's dry between shoe and leveler or it will squeak loudly. Happy healing..!
