These are perfect to hand bird feeders on. We love them! Very useful to have. Easy to hang.

After thoroughly appreciating the performance and good weathering of my initial purchase over a year ago, I ordered another identical swinging Gray Bunny bird feeder mounting arm.

The paint has weathered well, with essentially no rusting. With a lot of daily swinging back and forth, filling the bird feeder, I find no need to keep tightening the fixing wing-screw. They pretty much stay put - even when hit by a squirrel. Speaking of squirrels, they can shimmy out to the feeder, from the deck railing, but with difficulty. However, a little vaseline on the rod makes it impossible for the squirrel, as well as entertaining viewing watching it trying to shimmy through the grease!

I don't bother with the grease anymore, though, because if you rush the squirrel when it's out on the feeder, the squirrel panics at being cut off from easily jumping back into the railing. After one or two free-falls, one storey to the ground, it decides it's usually not worth it to risk it!

Also, with the grease, it's quite peculiar watching the perched birds sliding sideways down the rod.... but also somewhat entertaining.

The perfect deck-feeding combination, in my experience, is the Gray Bunny swing out arms, paired with Squirrel Buster bird feeders - also available on this site.

I have now ordered two of these steel swinging arms and would order again, if the need arises. Not crazy about the price, but it is a quality product.

Update, March 27, 2022:. The swing arms are still working well, but I removed one star for the following reasons: the welded tube housing the swing arm is rusting and the paint is chipping off in that localized area. Also the gloss of the paint, itself, had faded and it looks like I am going to have to repaint them to avoid further rusting. So, we are looking at 3 years since purchase. Also, it feels like the rust has locked up the swing arm tightening nuts - although I don't use them and have not tried to break them free. Finally, not directly related to the hangers, but related to a comment in my earlier review: I only briefly used Vaseline to make the squirrels unable to shimmy out onto the arm. I read that any kind of grease like that can get into the birds' feathers and compromise their flying ability. My best solution at this point would be to lightly sand and repaint with a high gloss, higher quality paint. I still recommend these, except with the caveat offered above.

I like this pole for how sturdy it is. Also the long length makes it further from the post it is mounted on. Squirrels have not bother this feeder. It has been up almost a year with no rust.

Cant say how durable this is since I just installed them. They do deflect a good amount so I think they are designed for small feeders.

I was looking for a pole to match three others, and the company I ordered from no longer carries it. This was said it was "49 inches" and the others I wanted to match were advertised as "58 (or 52) inches" but when held up against each other, they are exactly the same length, so they just must measure differently between different companies. The base of the bracket was bent a little, but I could easily bend it back with a pair of pliers. The cost was at least $10 less than the other three poles, so I"m glad the original company doesn't carry their pole . A good value; I think it will last.
