NOT Rust-Proof! Poor Quality for outdoor weather!
Brian Olson•April 16, 2018
This is my wife's review:
I was SO excited about this bird feeder stand and I wish I could have given it 5 stars, but it's not good quality.
I received this item on a Thursday. It was packaged very well and nothing was broken. I set up the feeder on Saturday in my backyard. I added a hanging bird bath and a hanging bird feeder. Everything looked a-okay all afternoon. That evening we had some rain but still noticed birds going to feed and drink.
The next day on Sunday it rained on and off, but again, no issues. Monday morning I woke up to go to work at 6:30am and I looked outside to see the bird feeder had fallen over! We didn't have any high winds, so I don't know why it fell. I went outside when I got home from work to try and put the feeder back upright and that's when I saw the leg was rusted and had broken off!
I only had the feeder for 5 days, and it was only outside in the ground for 2 days! I looked at all the other screw attachments and they were rusted! What a poorly made design for an OUTDOOR feeder.
I contacted Amazon and sent them photos of the damaged feeder. I was promptly given a full refund.
I think I will just have my husband build me something that is more solid and rust-proof!

Wish we'd bought this years ago. It's so lovely, functional and sturdy in the wind!

Got our GrayBunny GB-6844D Deluxe Premium Bird Feeding Station yesterday (04/03/2018) and we put it up right after work. The spring ground is moist and soft, so it went into the soil like a champ, plus the three prongs at the base made it snug right up to our fence-line. We adjusted the various hooks and trays without any problems and they seem to be holding everything nice and tight even with our windy climate. We hung a very heavy multi-seed feeder, a Nyjer thistle feeder sock, and a suet cake in the cage, and put water in the bird bath. There is still room for more and we're loving the ability to adjust positioning of each arm of the hooks and trays for our personal needs. The birds found it within the hour and our indoor pets are now loving the free "Pet TV" feature this lovely garden accessory accidentally provides to them. The additional height gives this feeder clearance from our fence and allows all the birds to be seen well, even from an indoor seated position. Gorgeous bird watching for the whole family.
This feeding station has magically brokered peace among all the backyard wildlife!

We have a thrilling diversity in our bird population, so feeding them has been an absolute joy of discovery! Problem is; I had originally hung the bird feeders from a hook on the same tree as our squirrel feeder. So, when the squirrels had finished all of their peanuts, or got bored of their corn cobs, they'd start launching themselves onto the bird feeders to help themselves to the sunflower seeds, which drove away all the birds. My bad.
Installing this feeding station in the ground several yards away from the trees and fence solved that problem instantly. Be advised, though, you are DEFINITELY going to want to pair this up with a squirrel baffle! I recommend one at least 18" wide, placed as high up on the station as you can manage, but 4' up at the minimum, because squirrels can scale that pole as effortlessly as a Tijuana stripper, trust me. This station comes with so many nice extras, I'm not even bothered that I had to buy the baffle separately. (The Woodlink NABAF18 Audubon Wrap Around Squirrel Baffle is a good option, and matches this station perfectly.)
All winter long I've had two hanging feeders on the top two big hooks; sunflower seeds in one, safflower seeds in the other for the chickadees, titmice, cardinals, juncos, sparrows and wrens. Two suet cakes fit perfectly in the suet feeder for the blue jays, cardinals, nuthatches and the many different kinds of woodpeckers we have; hairy, downy, pileated & northern flickers last tally! And, the platform feeder is always stocked with peanuts for my beloved blue jays! Unrelated word of advice; cut anyone out of your life that says blue jays are mean. They're wrong, and you don't need that kind of negativity in your life. Blue jays are amazingly clever and entertaining!
Once spring & summer hits, I plan to add the smaller hooks to hang a thistle seed feeder and a hummingbird feeder, and maybe stuff the suet feeder with nesting material or fruit slices. I might add that bird bath dish too, once the risk of freezing is over, though the plastic dish is a bit on the light side, so I'm not sure it'll survive a good gust of wind. Better to buy a separate bird bath, I suspect.
All in all, I'm thrilled with this awesome little feeding station, and it has kept my vast and varied bird population well-fed, and free from squirrel hassles all winter long. Now the squirrels hang out in their feeder, where they belong! Sure, they might gaze longingly at this station, but the birds provide plenty of sunflower seed scatter for them to clean up beneath it without having to entertain them as unwanted dining partners. Our backyard is a wildlife utopia, thanks to this feeding station!

I'm glad I bought the version with the three prong base
Linne M.•January 15, 2018
I'm glad I bought the version with the three prong base, since one of my birdfeeders is pretty heavy when full of seeds and I've hung a heavy glass bird bath from the other top hook (instead of using the plastic bowl that came with this item). I also hung a pretty birdhouse from the top of the pole (see photos). It's been set up for only two weeks, but the pole seems to be quite sturdy. My one complaint is that it was frustratingly difficult to get all three pieces of the long pole to screw into each other. One of the silver colored pieces with threads just wouldn't screw into either of the other two pieces until I squirted a little WD40 on it, then voila!
Sways noticeably with a heavy feeder on top.
Mark Durstewitz•January 9, 2018
A bit too wobbly for my liking, and the Brome pole adapter does not fit tightly, so this is not a 1" outer diameter pole. 7/8" maybe, but it makes the Brome Squirrel buster plus feeder tilts on top, and because the feeder is so heavy, the whole pole assembly sways noticeably. This system would probably be adequate with a much lighter feeder, but I had to go with a system that augers into the ground and has a 1" outer diameter pole.
