Fantastic system!! This system is amazing, not robo calls get through, starting from day one. It took me a while to set it up, but I would highly recommend this system to anyone.
Smart Call Blocking feature ROCKS!

I have been using a Panasonic system with a basic call block function and a 250 number memory. It only took a couple of years to fill that up! Then if I want to block a number I needed to remove a previous blocked number first. So that inspired me to look around for a new system and I spotted this AT&T model with a much more sophisticated, customizable call block feature; and it will store up to 1000 blocked numbers!
The first thing you have to do is choose one of the 5 configurations for call blocking
1. Allow all calls except those on the block list.
2. Screen any call from a number not saved in the Directory, Allow list, or Star name list. The caller will be prompted to announce their name and press #.
3. Screen only calls that do not display a phone number. The caller will be prompted to announce their name and press #.
4. Screen robocalls only. All callers will be prompted to press # to ring through.
5. Block calls that do not display a phone number, and send any calls from numbers not saved in the Directory, Allow list, or Star name list to the answering system.
You can also manually add a number to the block list and from a caller ID.
I chose to use option #5 and needed to spend some time completing the Directory, Allow and Star name list entries to make sure all the calls I want to get through are able to. For the rest; if it's important they will leave a message.
The phone will ring once when an unassigned number calls before it goes to the answering system. You do have the option to screen the call from a handset if desired. It won't ring at all for anonymous callers.
The handsets have a dedicated call block button you can use while on a call. Once you press the call block button and confirm the block it will announce; "The number you are calling is not accepting your call. Please hang up".
Annoying: The system will record empty messages fairly consistently if the caller does not hang up right away after the announcement starts. The 10 ring tones vary from," I could live with that", to "Please make it stop".
The system has been working like a charm and I'm not bothered at with unwanted calls anymore.
I have focused on the call blocking features but this phone system has a lot of handy features including "Push to talk" to use like a two way radio. Included in the box is a 110 page "Abridged" user's manual. There is an even more detailed manual available online at the manufacture web site. I find it helpful to look at owner's manuals online when researching products to determine if the item will fit my needs.

There's a New Sheriff in Town -- No More Nuisance Calls!

The phone has nice range, handy features and great sound -- but the immediate relief of not having to contend with the steady stream of unsolicited calls makes this phone a true lifesaver. Peace at last!
Go with CALL BLOCKING. Unwanted marketing calls are more frequent and aggressive now.

Earlier this year, I bought a DECT 6.0 set that I thought was identical. I paid a little less than the current price of these AT&T phones but the brand was VTECH. It was difficult for me to zero in on all the features I needed but I got an expensive set. Haven't been happy with it, needing to block callers and the VTECH one I got didn't do that. This AT&T does that in the way that's convenient for me, the way we use the house phones. I regretted that I didn't pay a little more for the caller blocking.
What I learned at the time about getting DECT 6.0 phones that have true CALL BLOCKING - there aren't as many of those being sold on Amazon. And they really matter because I currently get many unwanted calls per day. Sometimes they're aggressive, calling every 10 minutes until somebody finally picks up. Most are robocalls so I can't even ask not to be called again. Sometimes when I answer one of the repeat callers that won't stop, I'll get background noise - people talking and now I'm on terminal hold with this going on as my punishment..
These AT&T phones solve this problem by requiring all phones that are cleared to call to get through. One can choose 50 numbers for this privilege, no more. That's ok because we just have that line for emergencies and some convenience, and are beginning to work with those 50 numbers. We can probably think of half that at this time if we think hard. We really use our cell phones.
For those who use these phones as we do in my home, I think it's much better to get these phones and get out of those marketing calls. In the beginning, it's easy to just hang up on the marketing calls or not answer. They've become more aggressive though and these simple ways of avoiding them don't work anymore.

Call-blocking feature is a pain to set up
SheSellsSeashells✓ Verified Purchase•October 14, 2017
The call-blocking system is a royal pain to set up. The system requires that you add-in all the phone numbers that you don't want blocked. Therefore, calls from your doctor's office, or the pharmacy, or other legitimate caller can end up being blocked, simply because you didn't add them, or you didn't know the number, or think to add it.
If you are not in the market for new phones, and just want a call-blocker, I would recommend an add-on system such as CPR V5000 Call Blocker - Block All Robocalls, Political Calls, Scam Calls, Unwanted Calls. Block All Nuisance Calls At The Touch Of A Button.
On the other hand, if you are having serious problems with being harassed, or are a public figure (judge, police officer, government official, etc) this system might be just the thing you need. For the ordinary person who is simply tired of being bombarded with junk calls, it verges on being overkill.
As for the regular phone functions, it's fine. I like the fact that the caller ID is announced, so you can know who is calling without having to walk to the phone and look at it. The answering system works as one would expect - you can use a pre-recorded message, or you can record your own message.
Be aware that the answering feature may not work with some VOIP phone services - the VOIP answering system may override the phone's answering system.
