So far I am impressed with this booster. I bought it based on positive reviews I read and really wanted it to work for me too. I was not disappointed. I need reliable reception for my business while we're away. I hooked everything up in my motorhome and plugged it in while at home and my cell signal immediately jumped from 2 bars to 4 (full) bars. I have no problems using my phone with 2 bars so I did not notice a difference in quality or the ability to make a call, but the fact that my cell signal jumped up to max confirms that it is working. I don't know why other people claim that it did nothing for them, but my experience with this is positive. We are headed to the southwest to stay at several national parks for a few weeks this summer. If there's any change in my experience with the booster, I will update my review.

At first I did not think this worked at all. However, a few days later I did some tests and actually looked at the signal level as well as some speed tests and it does help! Frankly I expected it to do more than it does but I am happy with the boost it gives. I've been in areas where the signal is not usable on T-Mobile or Verizon. With this booster I'm able to get enough signal to use the internet and make calls everywhere I've been.

The manual suggests attaching the antenna to the ladder. However, I have no use for the TV antenna on my rig so I mounted it where the TV antenna was and ran the cable in where the TV cable came in. This allows me to raise the antenna a few feet above the camper which does help.

One down side is that for best signal you literally have to place your phone within inches of the inside antenna. This is not a big deal for me but it bothers some people.

I don't consider this a 5 star item for three reasons. 1) I'd think it should give more boost. 2) Phone has to be right next to inside antenna. 3) Price is quite high for the boost it gives.

Even with these con's, I consider this a critical item for full time RV travel.

I bought this with high expectations based off of a few reviews. After I got it installed, we did not see any increase in signal. I downloaded a signal app to monitor it. In my driveway of my house I was at -110 dbm. At that level I can stream Netflix just fine. So even though its a weaker signal its still fine. There was 0 boost in the signal. I finally read a review on Amazon and the gentleman said he had to be touching the antenna for it to work at all. So I tried this and it jumped to -102 Dbm. I emailed their customer support, they were very prompt and nice... but, I was told the following "Our boosters need at least a -95 on 3G at the external antenna to amplify. Anything beyond a -95 is too weak for our boosters to amplify. If it does amplify it will either create noise or you will be right next to the internal antenna. "

This kind of sucks, because I am not sure why I need to boost -95 when I can do everything i need to at a weaker signal. So basically they are telling me we dont take a weak signal and make it great, we take a good signal and boost it. I reviewed the documentation and their is nothing about this. As a matter of fact I saw multiple times the reference to boosting weak 1 bar signals. Since my plan was to work remotely from my RV in areas that would have a weaker signal this will not work for me. I have returned it. My recommendation is either check the signal strength via the phones status, or download an app to determine if you need this. Additionally I have watched a lot of videos after purchasing where the everyone says you need to be within a few feet of the antenna, while WeBoost claims that its 8-10'. Lastly if you do feel that this will work for you and you buy it, DO A DRY FIT FIRST. They do recommend you do a soft install before you drill any holes. I did not do this, since I was so excited for it, and went ahead and drilled a hole right through my roof. Definitely test it before drilling those holes. Like I said customer service was nice, even though I was PISSED in my emails, but I would not recommend this product from what I have learned about it.

I can see where this booster in some cases can work. But if you are expecting it to work miracles, it simply won't so be realistic. For the price you can piece together your own booster using some of the antennas that are much cheaper. You can also get the same brain through third party sources which will cost you far less. I have tried the booster in several different locations across may different types of locations. I was not impressed. I have something that I have pieced together for about a quarter of the price and it provides me with a far greater boost than this would. Also something that isn't quite advertised is the fact that you have to have your cell phone within a foot of the interior antenna if you really want to get the best boost. Also the coaxial cable provided is not long enough for most applications especially if you are in any kind of toy hauler. I have to say once it's installed properly it has a smooth and sleek low profile design, but I much rather have something I can take my phone outside the RV and have coverage, than have a booster that relies on how close you are to that interior antenna.

We have had our weBoost for over a month now and it does not work as described, if at all. It now seems to be hindering our cell service. We have perfect service outside of our fifth wheel and nothing inside. We've tried to test and see if it has ever worked at all, we've been in some lower cell service areas and there is no noticeable difference unless you have your phone or laptop inches from the antenna. I'm just sad now it's too late to return and we had to drill a hole in our RV to install.
