Perfect replacement solar cell for single battery solar garden lights.

These worked perfectly in replacing defective solar panels in my solar garden lights that has a single AA battery. Take out the battery and measure the voltage from the panel under full sunlight. If it is less than 1.5v, replace it with this solar cell. Drill 2 small holes in the solar panel case and rerun the panel connection through these holes to the new panel. Then glue these panels down on top of the old one with silicone glue. Very often, I will find the switch defective as well due to water damage. Just by pass the switch altogether.
This panel generated 2.5v/150mA under full and direct sunlight. It is a lot more sensitive that most stock panels and will charge at lower light as well as turn on the light later in the evening. I have lights placed where they only get morning sun and they still work well at night.
If you are hunting for a replacement solar cell for your single battery garden light, you will not be disappointed with this inexpensive buy.

The old panels yielded 2.4V and these yield 3.4V, but so far it has been working well and the aspirating fan seems to be running faster. These were a tight fit since the original panels were about 49mm square. Won't know for sure if the extra volt makes enough of a difference in temperature readings until the warm weather gets here, but even in 40 degree weather the temperature would jump several degrees when the weather station was in direct sunlight, and that doesn't seem to be a problem with these panels.
