Great value product with a minor gripe

This item came well packaged in shaped foam. Installation was pretty straight forward, you just remove your Blue Yeti from its stand and attach the shock mount to the bottom where there is a large hole for the screw. What I really liked about this mount is that there is some foam/felt between the metal bolt and where your microphone attaches so as to not scratch not your microphone or mount.

The attachment at the end which attaches to a microphone arm or stand has two thread sizes. The thicker of the two is at the front, near the top whereas the thinner thread is more recessed. I utilized the smaller of the two and it tightened down without any issues.

What I did not like was that there were some paint chips all around, however they were small (
Pros:
-Works as it should
-Strong elastic bands
-Angle adjustment bolt tightens down securely
-Aesthetically pleasing

Cons:
-Minor paint chips (-Due to foam/felt mentioned in summary you are not able to completely cinch down the bolt which secures the microphone, but I'd rather have no scratches than a fully tightened down bolt - not fully tightening it down won't make it any less secure in my experience
Does the job, works well.

The Blue Yeti is an awkward microphone in the first place, so once you add this adapter to your boom just remember, it's still a big *** microphone hanging upside down in front of you. The mount firmly holds the Yeti and that huuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is finally GONE! The arm is attached to my desk which has hard drive dock on it, the hum from the drives is not audible but was transferring up the arm so the Yeti could bring it to life in every video I narrated. This shock mount fixed the problem silencing those evil Seagate drives.
SHOCKED! MOUNTED!

Not only does it fit--and it fits perfectly, despite all the warnings I'd read prior to ordering--but it works like a charm. My first podcast after using the mount provided me with a noticeable improvement in overall quality of sound; no more bumps, pings, or shakes. Viola!

Auphonix was AWESOME about it all, too. Emailed me prior to it being received, let me know the issue, told me they'd allow a return if needed but gave some awesome and very helpful tips on how to make it work if there was a fit issue. Best customer service I've seen in a long, long time.
Seems like my set-up just doesn't work with it

I ordered this shock mount for use with my Blue Yeti attached to a boom arm pole for an overhead mic angle. Part of the purpose was to give myself a more proper overhead angle with the microphone fully upside down, and I can honestly say that the couple of times I used it, it was absolutely successful at that.

I do want to address the complaint I've seen about the screw size being wrong; I was contacted by the seller before even receiving the thing, and they informed me that this is a defect on the Blue Yeti from what they can understand. I can confirm that this mount fit perfectly on my Blue Yeti, so the problem is definitely not one that affects everyone. They recommended using plumber's tape to try to correct the issue, but did say they would offer a refund regardless. As much as I appreciate it, this isn't my problem.

So I've been using the shock mount for a few days, and I've noticed that my stand for my boom arm is occassionally trying to tip over. It is a floor-level stand, so it's not like I'm putting a huge microphone on a tiny stand here, either. I had this issue on occassion when I extended the boom arm too far out, but I just adjusted it to get it more balanced. At one point, I got up from my seat, and the thing just straight-up toppled over without any indication of losing balance. Now, if that's all that happened, I wouldn't be bothered, I'd just go "it was less balanced than I thought, oh well" and move on. Actually, I'm kinda doing that anyway.

The problem came with what happened to the mount as a result; simply put, the piece that connects the Yeti to the internal ring broke off. I tried to line up the piece that broke off with where it looks like it broke, but it appears there's some other bits of plastic missing and I can't seem to find them, unfortunately, so I don't think fixing it myself would be an option.

This isn't really a hatred against the product at all; it's clearly a good product that I just happened to get unlucky with. I'll probably replace it at some point in the future, in fact. But I did want to warn anyone who uses a boom arm with an overhead mic set-up like mine to keep things from tipping over as much as you can, because due to the material this particular shock mount is made out of, you could find yourself out about 20 bucks if you screw it up.
BANG for the BUCK

I currently use the aluminum shock mount to record audio while gaming so any vibrations travelling through my desk are not picked up. Compared to the Blue yeti mic stand the difference is night and day. Without the shock mount every vibration would be picked up by the mic, even an external hard drive. With the shock mount everything is silent.
MAKE SURE to measure the screw mount on your blue yeti before ordering. Apparently some blue yeti mics have minute differences with their screw mounts. I measured mine to make sure it was the correct dimensions.

Pros:
holds up mic without sagging over time
Isolates mic from annoying desk vibrations
VERY cheap compared to more "quality" products
Aluminum version feels light yet sturdy
Con:
Some random rough parts from casting
