It really scared me at first and didn't do a thing when I first plugged it into my iPhone. I have since read elsewhere that its best to turn on spark, then RC remote, then plug it in, and lastly open the app. Although my phone doesn't always recognize that I plugged it in. I unplug and plug it in until it vibrates and brings an error message saying "accessory not supported".Although it says this, this is actually when it will work.
Before using this cord, I had to rely on wifi connection from phone to RC remote and my live view was glitchy and sporadic. With this cord, my live view is seamless.
This cord serves its purpose for me. Seems to be made of quality materials and is the right length. I took away 1 star because I have to connect it and disconnect it several times for it to work.

Works perfectly. Super quick connection to remote. Most recent "DJI GO 4" update on 01/23/2018 with the announcement of the Mavic Air appears to have fixed the issues with the connection. I fly with a new iPhone X and iOS11
