This is a very nice looking clock that keeps time well, but it is NOT quiet. It has a very annoying high rate clicking sound that I have not been able to rectify even after opening it and trying to resolve the problems. The gears are just very noisy. Disappointed because I like everything else about the clock.

This is the best alarm clock I have. Love what it looks like, and its lack of features make it so effective. I used to wake up often in the evening, check my clock, see what time it is now, and then worry how much sleep I got. So this clock is not illuminated, so if I wake up, I do not understand. Sometimes I have had an hour nap. This alarm clock does not snooze function, the alarm can not be reset in the dark, so I wake up on time every other day. The alarm is not annoying, but it is not anything you can ignore. The clock seems carefully crafted and of quality. Like I said, the best alarm clock I have。
