Very happy with these panels!
Jerry Hogsett•June 20, 2018
I love this solar panel. It's my second from Dokio. It's very lightweight (something like 5 lbs. but feels less because of the overall size). It came with a very nice Dokio-branded solar controller, similar to the blue low-end ones for sale, but it's actually much nicer than those other controllers. (For example, it's 12V only, so you can plug the panel into the controller without having to have the battery present; it reads out amps and has several additional settings; it doesn't seem to do that awful pulse charging the cheap ones do either). I found it very easy to put in the trunk and unfold on top of the car for power while parked. The panels are semi-flexible so they curve to the car's contour. (I haven't been able to determine just "how" flexible they are, and the product details don't seem to say, but one of the panels came with a Dokio patent number tag indicating they're "semi-flexible". I've had no problems. But I'm also being careful not to flex too much until I know how they'll act).
VERY PLEASED!!

VERY PLEASED!!! We added solar to our RV this year. We have three 100 W panels on the roof that are flat and stationary. They work very well, however we got the DOKIO as an assist- maybe for rainy and cloudy days. WOW! Because the DOKIO can be moved and set at angles to the sun, the b
My panel was either defective or way overrated.

I bought this panel to replace a 44 watt Kyocera to charge batteries in my RV. I used the Kyocera and a 10A automotive charger to test and compare the output of this panel when charging the batteries in my RV. All were run on exactly the same circuit through a hard wired controller in the RV. The charger put out about 7A, but this panel put out no more than the 44 watt Kyocera, about 32 measured watts in full sun. I proceeded to test this panel further, exposing just one side at a time to the sun and found that one side put out twice what the other side put out. Even the good side put out only about half what it should have made.
The seller had offered to take it back, but, unfortunately, I had moved the controller closer to the battery clamps and had removed the pouch before I tested the panel, so it was no longer in the original condition, a big mistake on my part. The seller offered and I accepted a 50% refund. I really like the way it's set up, but I have no use for another panel that should be rated about 40-50 watts. I concluded that this panel is either defective or just way overrated.
If you decide to buy this panel, I'd suggest you test it carefully before you make any modifications. It should produce at least 5A at 13V

Very easy to establish
Amazon Customer•March 24, 2018
Just returned from 7 day camp and horse riding trip. Bought this unit arrived one day before trip. Took out of box and plugged in unit. Very easy to establish. Kept the battery charged up +++. Day 5 a Big unexpected storm came in with high winds 50+mph, rain and ripped off the flimzy D rings and slid the solar unit on its face about 5 ft. Made a big divet in the panel and scratches on the face. Controller also slid in dirt. I was UPSET thinking I just spent money for 5 days. Well next day I dusted off unit and plugged it in. IT WORKED!!! Charged the battery and still works. The flexibility of unit saved it in the high wind. For ease of set up and hardiness of unit would recommend it as well as price. I was willing to buy another unit if it did not surrive the Arizona dust devil wind. Will work on a base frame to support it when up. Love the light weight but winds can and will destroy it.
Five Stars
