I did a lot of research before buying this particular tatami mat. I'm pretty pleased with it. It did take a while to be delivered. My only issue was the packaging. It came with zero protection and the wrapping was directly on the mat itself, which made it rather difficult to open with out damaging the mat. I'm surprised it survived the shipping from China.
Aside from that, it's good quality. It's exactly as described. There is no odd smell as some have mentioned for this and other tatami mats. I find it very comfortable to both sit and stand on. I would buy again and recommend to others.

I have both the oriental furniture version and this version of tatami mat. I ended up getting the smaller 12 by 12 inch approximate and I think it's a good quality product but it's not real grass but it's slightly softer and it's poofy when you step on it. The sizes are very small so you'll need quite a few if you want to actually use this for a room. If these are actual sizes to fill a room like floor sizes 6 by 3 or larger I probably would have gotten these instead of the actual tatami mats from the oriental furniture group. The only downside again is it doesn't have that grass smell which is really nice and pleasant. I would highly recommend getting these.
