If you plan on using this with running shoes or other athletic shoes with soles that flare out, order a size up. My wife had no major problems getting this on when she wanted to wear a different shoe, and they did even her up while she was in the boot. She really noticed when she forgot, this when we would go out. But it was some effort to get it on, and it came off a few times when the elastic strap slipped down. Because we got her normal show size and that was just too small, the strap around her heel was hard to get on and could slip off it was under so much pressure.

I have been wearing a tall boot brace on my right injured leg for about six months. My shoe size is women's 8"¦.. And I first bought the medium which worked really well but was just not super tight over my shoe and would occcasionally slip off the heel"¦so I used an extra strap to secure it to keep it on that I looped through the top. After six months I decided to order a size small which fits more securely and stays on a little bit better. For $30 this is quite a good product and the amount of lift is perfect."¦ I can actually walk normally now whenI have my boot on. So ultimately I would suggest if you are a woman with a size 8 shoe or smaller I would order the small. If your shoe size is 8 1/2 or larger I would go with the medium.

I had an injury that required me to be in a walking boot for months. The even up shoe leveler was very easy to attach to my shoe for the foot that was not injured. I experienced immediate back relief from being uneven due to the walking boot. This product really works. My physical therapist originally recommended it to me, and I am so glad. I really believe that I avoided a lot of additional back pain issues as a result of using the even up leveler. The unexpected benefit was that the even up leveler protected the wear and tear of the one shoe that I was using on the uninjured foot, so that when I did eventually go back to wearing two shoes, the shoes were still in equal condition regarding the tread of my shoes. Honestly, this product should be packaged with the walking boot as a must have. Would purchase again. I reviewed the inventor's website for product information that was really helpful for understanding the use cases.

35 year old here. Had a stress fracture, the doctor put a boot on me. All was well, until about 3 hours in, and I realized that having the boot on meant I was walking with a horrible limp because the boot was about 3 inches higher than my other foot. My lower back pain kicked in, my sciatica was triggered, and I was starting to wonder whether the stress fracture pain was worse than what I was having to experience now. To be honest, I couldn't continue on with back pain and such, and wondered if I should call the doctor's office and ask for a second boot just so I can walk leveled?!
But then, I went online and quickly realized they actually make this product to even out your legs so that you're walking on level ground!! Genius! And yet, so simple! I immediately purchased it, and for the 48 hours it took to arrive, my back was killing me, and the holiday shopping wasn't finished yet!
Anyway, this item arrives, I open it, and a first glance, it looks flimsy and small for my shoe. I'm thinking I'm going to have to retro fit it in some way to make it work. Anyway, I slide my foot it (wearing a regular shoe) and tighten the strap.
Magic.
It was pure magic!
Within just a few minutes, my back cracked, my hips felt stable and aligned, even my knee stopped cracking! Argh! Amazing! I couldn't believe how something that looked so flimsy, worked so incredibly well!!
I also realized that my biggest concern was unfounded. I felt it might elevate me enough off the ground where I'd feel unstable or like I was on stilts - considering the boot was already making me taller. Nope. Absolutely not! In fact, it's constructed in a way that it gives to the height, but also the support and traction you need to feel completely safe and stable no matter what you're walking through. I've walked on snow, ice, and sleet with this with incredible traction. It's like a rubbery, sneaker bottom. Never felt unsafe or wobbly at all. And I have young kids so I'm always on the go.
I don't think I can recommend this enough. I know that without it, I would've had to trade in one pain for another, and still ended up with twice as much pain.

After (2) 12 week courses in a CAM boot, NOT leveled, I developed a Left hip tendonopathy - a very Painful tendonopathy that kept me awake at night and hurt all the time (until I got out of boot and saw a hip Ortho who fixed me. Once surgery was scheduled, knowing I was going back in boot for another 10-12 wks, I knew my poor hip (and back) needed help, so I bought this. It has definitely helped. This leveler, as I'm fairly certain all levelers are, is a bit clunky. Clunky adaptions to clumsy women's shoes is a bad idea, especially when that's the good foot and the opposite has boot. The straps that secure the leveler need to be watched/checked throughout the day. Despite having the correct size, just day to day motion, with any kind of pivot action through foot, could cause a slight shifting of sneaker in the leveler, which is an accident waiting to happen. This happened several times over the course of a week. I did catch it, that the shoe bottom wasn't securely aligned on bottom, but I ended up realizing I had a pair of wedge flip flops that I am more secure in, and have been wearing them, more than the leveler. Nonetheless, this product did help, and I would buy again.
