Very nice pack
djones0119•February 27, 2018
Bought this for my son to use on a ski trip, the small compact design was perfect for the occasion, the backpack is sturdy and well constructed, the water pack was easy to fill and use. Quite roomy for a small pack, with plenty of room for and additional pair of gloves, socks, first aid kit and his wallet. Should be great as the weather warms for hiking, camping, and fishing.
Must have for any pack out

Best deal in town for when the SHTF or for your long pack out excursions that require serious survival equipment - this is serious stuff and is a must have!
easy for him to use

my 12yr old uses this in this cross country practices...easy for him to use. has pockets to hold his keys and phone...he loves it. it's small enough to not be in the way by holds enough water for his long distance runs. great buy sturdy and well made would buy again...
You get what you pay for.

I hate it. It does it's job but after owning a name brand competitor I realize how low quality this thing is. The price is good though. Gave 2 stars because it does function but it's just very low quality. Oh yeah it won't fit a guy any bigger than me either I'm 6'3 and 200lbs the straps are adjusted all the way out.
good value for the money.

Needed a cheap hydration only pack for an obstacle race that I was coerced into joining. Does its job well.
Pro's:
- 2 zippered pouches on sides are pretty roomy. I don't need all the space but it's a good place for a cell phone and some money and an ID.
- mesh pouch on the outside is nice to have but I'm not sure if you can really put a helmet in it.
- reasonably padded and vented on back
- 2L is pretty good size but pretty heavy when full
- bite valve and shut off valve work well and bite valve comes off for easy cleaning.
Con's:
- Shoulder straps are made of a thin breathable material which I'm not sure how long it will last. Working out so far so good after a couple of runs.
- bladder has a terrible taste to it. The only way around it is to keep it clean and dry until just before use and filling it only just before you use it. Cold water works the best so once water sits in it for a couple of hours and warms up, it tastes horrible. Also, you need to carefully close the refill opening since it easily cross-threads.
- Tubing seems to always get in the way. The bite valve will drag on the ground if you're doing burpees or pushups. I'm tempted to cut it to shorten it.
- I'm not a fan of the waste/belly strap. Not very comfortable and would have liked it if you could detach it. For now, I wrap it around the front and it seems to stay out of the way.
