A honest review from my experaince of the 6wt combo set

This fly rod and reel ocationaly goes on sale for 50% off so for a $110 it can't be beat.
The ROD is excellent and that is what you are buying when you purchase this. As far as I can tell with out it up it is a fast action rod with magority of the bend towards the tip.
The REEL is nothing to brag but it is not a bad reel. My fly fishing consist of bass and bluegill so a top of the line reel is not something I would know how to describe. It does a great job holding the line and the drag sound is nice and audible.
The fly LINE is probably the reason it go on sale for 50% ocationaly. It has way to much memory. Now if you don't know what that means, neither did I until I asked what was happening. The fly line doesn't lie down flat. For every part of the line it curls and is a pain. After spending many hours fishing with this memory line I desided to buy a cheep line until I deside I'm ready to buy the Orvis bank shot line I really want to perfect the set.

The media could not be loaded. I'm only giving this 4 stars because like everyone else has said, the line is horrible! It has a memory that nothing could stretch out of it. I luckily read the reviews beforehand and bought a separate line. But for the sale price the rod alone is worth it. I'm planning to get a metal reel at some point as well, so truthfully I only bought this set up for the rod and case, and to me it was more than worth it. My partner has a rod set up that was around $160 and his rod is nowhere near as nice, he does have a metal reel, and his line is nice but when we switched set ups he liked mine way more. So if anything, get this for the rod!! You probably won't find one as nice for the price anywhere. The reel does fine as well, I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but the reel is actually quite noisy, not sure how serious of a problem it will actually be, but something to note.
