Bought a few colors - beige, coffee and brown. All are nice. Coffee is what's pictured. The material has a bit of a sheen to it which adds some nice texture and depth to the look of the fabric in my opinion. The beige is more of a champagne color with a hint of gold, the coffee is very taupe-like and the brown is a nice chocolate color. The cubbies are well made and we are happy with our purchase. Also, no bad smell as mentioned by some buyers.
