We purchased Sleep Number Twin Mattresses 8 years ago for our king size bed frame with the plan to add an adjustable base. We went to their store but the price was still too high and had more features than we were interested in. I found this base on Amazon, the price was amazing and it said it was easy to assemble and 2 twin bases would fit inside a standard king size bed frame, exactly what we were looking for.

Our package arrived in 2 boxes. We opened the boxes and my husband was able to screw on the 4 legs (2 middle legs are already attached), he removed the foot board form our bed frame, slid the adjustable frames into place, reattached our foot board and it was a perfect fit! He plugged in the adjustable bases, there is ZERO wiring to do, and as promised they were already programmed and worked perfectly. He put our air mattresses back on but we had a king size Tempur-Pedic mattress topper for a king size bed that I need for my really bad back and sciatica. He got out the electric kitchen carving knife and cut the topper in half, put the toppers on the mattresses then made the bed. Everything fit and worked perfectly.

It's been 2 weeks since we started using these amazing bases and they work perfectly and fit our needs. We can now sit up in bed, raise our feet, and adjust them to whatever our bodies need at that time. The only negative thing I can say is I wish I would have checked Amazon a lot sooner, but I'm so happy we finally did. We liked ours so much we purchased 2 more for my parents and they love theirs too!!!

If you're looking for a really heavy duty adjustable frame without all the bells and whistles this is the one for you. The remote comes with a flashlight feature, I thought it was a waste of space, but we both use our remotes flashlight feature if we get up at night so we don't wake anybody up. The remotes are preprogrammed to work each frame individually however they can be set up to run the frames together. It will be easier to maneuver with 2 people but it can be done by 1. Total set up time took about 10 minutes per base, what took the most time was taking our old bed apart. It took my husband just about an hour from start to finish.

End of the day I look forward to going to bed knowing I can now adjust my mattress to the position I need rather than being uncomfortable on a flat bed. Again, I wish I would have done this sooner. It would make a great holiday gift, hint hint hint, your loved ones will thank you!!!

This was a really hard purchase because I could not try the adjustable bed out before buying, then there was picking a mattress without trying out, and mattress topper, mattress pad and sheet set.....I was overwhelmed to say the least. I relied on reviews, a site called "sidesleepers" and of course I enlisted the help of Amazon customer service to help me put all things together. I was so very impressed with this Adjustable Bed Base by LUCID...thanks everyone for steering me in the right direction.

So we got this bed frame about a week ago because one of our friends got something similar, but paid a HECK of a lot more money that I did for this. I know this has nothing to do with this company, but 2 day shipping is amazing first of all. I ordered it on Tuesday and it was at my door on Thursday. I was surprised how heavy the box was initially. If you are older, you will probably want your grandson to bring the box in your home. When I initially bought the base, it asked if I wanted to pay an extra $200 to have someone help me set it up, it takes literally 5 minutes or less to set everything up! So I would say it is not worth it to have someone else come to set it up.

I got 2 of the Twin XL frames so that both beds together would still be a king size bed. You can use these bases with 2 Twin XL Beds or you can use a king size bed. My wife and I are actually experimenting with this to see which option we like better!

Anyway, now the good part. I CANNOT believe how big of a difference a little elevation around my knees and at my head has made in my quality of sleep. It is hard to wake up in the mornings now! Whether you are watching TV, writing this review, doing something on your computer; the picture on this page for the adjustable base bed is the BEST position for just sitting in bed. I don't even care to have a couch anymore. I will watch movies, tv shows, football, write emails, eat dinner, whatever I want, in the comfort of my bed. The remote itself has 7 buttons on it. 2 of the buttons adjust the base up, 2 adjust the base down, there is a button that shines a light in case you drop something, there is a button that makes the bed flat again, and then their is an M, not really sure what that does to be honest...

Being able to have this type of comfort for less than $1,000 has been amazing the last week! I would highly recommend this to anyone who has troubles sleeping, who wants a better night sleep, and who loves watching the typical Netflix episode each night. 5 Stars!

We received this on Wednesday and were able to get it set up within an hour. The legs just screw on, then it's just a matter of putting it in place and plugging it in. The remote also requires batteries, which were included. If your power goes out and you want to use the bed, there is also an optional place to put 2 9-volt batteries that will keep your bed operating. These batteries are not included. We have used it for a couple of nights and so far we love it. We can sit up just as much as we want to while watching TV, reading, or even having a snack. Having the bottom come up to support the knees is great, too. I anticipate loving this purchase!

My family got this adjustable bed base, along with a new memory foam mattress, as a surprise gift for my Grandparents. They where so shocked to have a bed and especially to see the cool new features of the adjustable base.
Personally, I haven't slept on it, but my Grandparents say they love it. What I can say is that it was incredibly easy to set up. Really all you have to do is pull it out of the box, unfold it, attach four legs that screw in, attach the little rods at the foot of the bed, and plug in the wires. The only hard part about it was moving it into the bedroom because it was kinda heavy. Definitely don't try to carry/push it around by yourself.
Although I haven't slept in it, you better believe I tried it our after setting it up. The remote is very simplistic, and easy for even my Grandparents (who don't even own a computer). Also, the remote had a neat little flashlight on it. Sometimes the little things like that go a long way. Another such little feature was the USB charging ports under both sides of the bed base. I doubt my Grandparents have a need for them, but I sure wish my bed base came with them.
As for the workings of the machine, it performs phenomenally. It is extremely quiet and smooth. It responds very precisely to the remote and it moves rather slowly so you can adjust your bed to the exact position that you would like. I can't think of anything to make this product any better. And did I mention that it looks good too?
