My first purchase of a mortar and pestle. I was surprised how easy it was to season by grinding some dry rice. A quality purchase, but I wish I would have bought a larger one as I see more uses now. I ended up gluing a felt pad on the bottom so it was more stationary and not to scratch counter.

Excellent and efficient. The marble is smooth, ideal for grinding dry spices as well as making pastes and sauces, and it cleans easily and completely. The pestle fits the mortar perfectly and is just the right length and weight for comfortable use. Would definitely recommend!!
