Cute bento box set but not leak proof and not insulating

The containers and the bag are poorly insulating. I put some freshly cooked chili in the top container. By lunchtime, it was barely lukewarm and the rest of the container was warm. Plus, since the containers have metal, you can't warm it up in the microwave. Conversely, I put something cold in just the bag and had it in my trunk. One hour later, the inside of the bag was the same temperature as the trunk and my cold celery sticks were then warm. Doesn't keep hot things hot, doesn't keep cold things cold. Only the top container with the silicone seal doesn't leak. If you put anything in the other compartments with any bit of liquid, if you accidentally knock over your containers, it will leak. I found this out this morning. Plus the silicone seal in the top container got stained by my chili (see above) and it's permanently stained. Best use of this is to store cold stuff in separate compartments for a short time until you can put it in a refrigerator.

It's so hard to find an attractive, functional lunchbox for some reason, but this one is it for me. I'm a fan of nice, modern, high-end things (they brighten up my desk and make me happy). This lunchbox is sleek, with cute colors, and it does its job well.
Just this morning I fit: one sandwich, an additional half sandwich, some pineapple slices, and a salad. I put the salad in the bottom compartment and it did not leak all over my bag (despite turning upside down multiple times). I went heavy on the vinegarette, so people experiencing leaks must be putting actual soup in here. I wouldn't recommend soup, first and foremost because the container is not microwavable.
The bag itself, while not really looking high-end in terms of materials, still manages to look high-end in terms of coloring, coordination, and attention to detail.
So far, I'd buy it again.
