Sorbitol AND Stevia ..... Just erased the health benefits with chemicals

So I ordered a tube of 8Greens. With a busy schedule and being unable to juice anymore, I was so excited to get this. Within 10 seconds of me opening the tube my excitement was gone. I took one sip and immediately went to the "other ingredients" part of the label. THERE IT WAS .... SORBITOL AND STEVIA ..... YUCK!!
So for some, the proposed benefits of the 8greens may outweigh the potential for chronic and subchronic toxicity, but not for me. Since the founder has had her share of health issues, it is a shame that she is not more educated in the potential dangers of sugar alcohol polysweetners. I will not risk drinking something so loaded with this processed "sugar" substance. I would rather taste greens, than an overpowering chemical which becomes an everlasting reminder that I just drank an additive. IMO the taste would be far less revolting if it had no artificial sweetners what-so-ever. Maybe the founder can do an unsweetened version for those who are really serious about their health.
I gave it 2 stars because the concept is good ..... the product not so much. Sorry, I really wanted to like this product

When you divide up the cost per tablet it's pretty reasonable in my opinion. The taste is very light and refreshing lemon/lime deal, and the tablets are easy to break in half when I want to pop them into a water bottle instead of a glass. The greens can kind of settle in the bottom so I've taken to swirling it a little before I drink. I do find that I feel better when I drink it as my eating habits are less than stellar - hate to cook and rarely eat fruits or vegetables. It also helps me ensure I'm taking in some extra water.

This stuff tastes nasty, almost like a weak Alka Seltzer. At about $1.40 a tablet it is also pricey. I'm glad I just bought 1 tube. I'll finish it since it's not worth sending back, but I definitely won't buy again.
