similar price as others, but less features
alansunshine•September 24, 2018
I should of did more research to the dual dash cam Rexing dual dash cam is about the same price and more features.
Rexing V1P 3rd Gen Dual 1080p is way better. 2.4 screen vs aukey 1 inch screen.
$150 (aukey +gps (sold separately)) vs $200 (Rexing buying GPS.)
Better back angle 170 vs 152.
Rexing has a APP to view the video on your phone
Aukey the 1 inch screen is too small to play the video and see what is happening.
Aukey you need a computer to see what is happening clearly.
Pros:
Aukey has good video front and back
lots of adhesive to mount the camera
easy to use menu
Cons:
SUV if your trunk opens from left to right the rear cable might not be long enough
If it is a van it will not be long enough.
After I turn off the car the next day the date jump 1 day and 3 hours ahead.
Ex. 9.26.18 > 9.27.18
Time it would be like 3:06pm time on camera 6:06pm
It does use a 24 hour time format. All 3 of the cameras does the same thing.
Manual need to be more detailed
some options the manual does not explain.
customer service sucks on their facebook
I message them and they are like copying and pasting answers and they clearly do not understand fully the question i am asking.
Motion detection is useless.
When the car is off the dash cam is off.
if someone is parallel parking and hits your car the dash cam will not record it.
I am not going to leave my keys in the car on so the motion detection can work.
Go with another dash cam
I already put all of them under trim and it would be a pain 1.5 hours of wiring each to rip it out and put another dash cam in.
waiting on anker to make a dual dash then I'll sell all of the dash cam.

Good dash cam but not reliable enough unless hard wired to always on supply
J. Mo•April 13, 2018
It feels like a good dash cam at first. However, there are reliability issues that need to be addressed by AUKEY. I will list out the pros and cons here.
Pros: Good image quality, wide angle, good night time image quality, Good dual camera set up capturing the videos in sync. Low profile.
Cons: No WIFI access to the video files. After using these units in both of my cars for 6 months, I think this would be a convenient feature to have.
Biggest problem: If the unit is not hard wired to the always on battery supply, it would not reliably start the recording when you start the car. This is not a one of issue, since this happens multiple times for both of my cars. This issue really throw me off since I hide the dash cam behind the rear view mirror and wouldn't realized it's not recording unless I check it every time I start the car.
After some investigations, I found out this unit will randomly lose the time/settings after being power off even for just one afternoon. It happens in both warm days and cold days. As far as I know, this unit has super caps that will provide enough power to gracefully turn off the unit when it detects a power loss (car turn off). And I'm guessing after being turned off, the cap will still have enough charge to run the clock for a certain period of time until the car starts next time. However, it seems there might be either a firmware glitch that draws excessive amount of power from the cap during the turn off procedure or the cap is defective and can't hold charge long enough. Once the unit completely loss power, it would have the issue above.

Update on 04/20/2018
The great customer service brought this back to 4 stars. I was contacted by the customer service shortly after I posted the review and the units I have were believed to be detective and AUKEY has sent me the replacement units. I will update this review if the issue continues with the replacement units.

Wide angle, great options to set
Far•March 9, 2018
This cam is just what I needed. Both lenses are wide angle and it looks really low key and the menus are easy to follow. There's an instruction booklet with some instructions if you want to, but overall it is easy to install. I tested the layout but I want to hide the cables, something I couldn't do today but this is definitely my Sunday project and will update with more pictures when I'm done I like that I can set the cam view to rear, front or both, but I'll probably just default it to the rear cam. As a bonus, it also records time lapses, something I will definitely have fun with.
Good daylight picture quality
Amazon Customer•February 26, 2018
Pros: Good daylight picture quality. Effortless once installed. Easy install. Unobtrusive.
Cons: poor night picture quality. Can't reverse rear camera image.
I've had it installed about a month now and I'm very happy. Having been hit in the front by aggressive drivers twice now, I wanted something that will clearly show the aggressive driver rapidly passing me THEN cutting me off. 1080p forward and aft gives me peace of mind that I can show clearly that "it wasn't my fault" when something happens. Liability protection, pure and simple. This camera does that very well. While the night vision may be somewhat lacking, I wanted a smaller form factor with lower price, two things you are simply not going to get with real night vision. It shows enough; remember that I'm really only concerned with that last 15-30 few seconds of video that shows where the idiot hit me. I think this does it quite nicely. My only complaint is that the rear image is not reversible, a feature I saw other places. Because the rear camera is facing, well, the rear, things are backwards from the driver's perspective. When you turn on your left turn signal, for example, it appears on the right side of the camera screen and gets recorded that way. It would be easy to explain in court, but I think a firmware update that enables the driver to reverse the rear camera image would be a big improvement and reasonably easy to do.

Awesome cam
Shazam•February 18, 2018
Four stars for a reason.
Pros...great cam with good coverage even at night which other cams do not not even 4k cams.
Cons...the connectors are too big and wiring rigid.
The rear cam killed my AM radio as my BMW had antenna built into rear windshield.
It froze up on me once and i let it sit for few hours and then connected it and has worked since.
The mounting glue pad is only good for glass and fell off from other surface so I used screws instead.
mounting bracket coupling is too snug and takes force to remove cam and that will make the double stick pad fall off if done a few times.
Yet I bought one more set for my other BMW as over all its a rat cam.
My advise for 100% coverage is to buy one single Aukey cam and mount it at base of rear view mirror facing the cabin.
This will cover interior which is not by the two cams, and if you get assaulted or side swiped you will have a proof of that as will.
I will attach pictures later.
Over all a perfect set of cams.
