Sturdy Stool!

Love this stool. Needed something for my stepmother to use when getting into my car. She has limited mobility and this wasn't too high for her to step on. As a matter of fact it was the perfect height, very sturdy and easy to fold. Just perfect!

Just a bad choice.
I'm 6'2", weighing 215 lbs. These will support my weight for a while, but if I move, it begins to pop and grind. We used it for a few months as a step stool inside our 5th wheel. Eventually, it just broke.
Put it out in the heat, exposed to sunlight and the thing almost melts...becoming soft, almost pliable! I felt VERY unsafe then and we stopped using it and threw it away.
A good steel step, purchased on Amazon, was a far, far better choice! Stromberg Carlson Product PA-100 Aluminum Folding Platform Step
For your own safety...stay away from this product.

idea is good but, as soon as i fully opened it, it broke on the side, other side wobbly, seems to me to very dangerous product, just askking for a broken bone, husband took one look at the crack down the side and said throw this away someone could break their neck standing on this plastic cheaply made step. i wanted to contact your company as this is a good concept, but someone really is going to get hurt using it the way it is made.

We bought two of these for Christmas gifts. Both were wrapped in plastic packaging, with manufacturer's stickers on the top. When we unwrapped them, they were both broken. Both had a broken hinge where the sides join and the second was also had a big chip out of the bottom edge of the long side. I don't know if the problem was with the design of the steps or the packaging. In any event, they certainly don't seem sturdy enough to withstand an adult stepping on them. The sticker says they can support 300 pounds.
Perfect height step--one-of-a-kind! Too bad it is WAY overpriced now!

This is the perfect size step to help my mom get up into our van. My only complaint is that once it is in "step" position, it's a little hard to grab the handle to put it back into folded position. With my 10" high versions of this, I can just grab the handle and the unit folds. With this, there's a reinforcement underneath that interferes with the handle. I'll figure out a way for my mom to reach down with a long-handled hook to fold it and pull it into the van, but that part could be improved.
And, Amazon's price is $3 cheaper than in the mail order catalogs where I've seen it. Can't complain about that! UPDATE two weeks later (11/1/16): What I CAN complain about is that the price went from $14.68 when I bought it down to $10.18! UPDATE on 11/2/16, just one day after leaving the other update and getting a response to my e-mail to the company saying I could contact Amazon for an adjustment in price, the price is now $19.98. IT IS SO NOT WORTH THAT AMOUNT!
And, Amazon's price is $3 cheaper than in the mail order catalogs where I've seen it. Can't complain about that!
