I had a hard time finding this item. There were plenty of hitch mounted tail/brake lights but I wanted a white utility light for hooking up a trailer at night and to serve as a stand-alone flashlight. This light works great - bright LED and can set to automatically come on with reverse lights or not. I think the packaging was overdone and added to the excess cost- they used two 9V batteries hooked together with wires inserted in to the 7-pin connector to allow you to test the light inside the plastic package - completely unnecessary
