It still supports my ankle but when I put it on I have to adjust the gel side supports so they line up over my ankle. If I don't do that the compression isn't where I need the support. The good side is that after I do that is provides the right amount of support. Not sure if this is normal for all ankle braces but it is my observation. I have sprained this ankle twice. I want to ride my bike this summer on the PA railroad trails. Hoping it works.

Treat my Feet Copper-Infused Compression
I had ankle surgery a couple of years ago. I still have a plate and 9 screws in my right ankle bones. Very often I have pain and fill unsure when walking. It is now the third day I have been wearing the brace and it feels comfortable and snug, the silicon cushions feel nice and soft but offer support.
I have shoe size 7 and small ankles the brace snuggles supportive around my foot and lower leg without bothering me in my shoe. Over the past two days I went hiking in Pigeon Forge, TN and I had absolutely no issues, pain, uneasiness and no swelling or other discomforts.
This evening my daughter will start wearing the TMF brace she has tried it on and it fits nicely, she has shoe size 10, the brace feels comfortable to her as well.
I hand washed it and hung it up to air-dry no damage to the material has occurred. Over all my impression of the brace is positive, it feels comfortable, not restrictive but supportive where needed. The material weaving is done very professional and leaves no markings on the skin.
With my experience so far, I am planning on purchasing the knee braces for my husband.

Fits great, I followed the size chart in the product pictures... is comfortable to wear and the silicone inserts while they feel too big before you put them on, they actually work nicely to cushion/support your ankle... once on they do not feel as big... the orange color is way more vivid than the picture may suggest, but it looks very sporty and could be used while playing, compression should help even if you don't have an injury, if only to perhaps avoid one... it is not very tight but you can still feel it on your foot...

I recently sprained my ankle when I tripped over my kid's toys. This ankle brace effectively relieves the pain and pressure I have in my ankle. It is stretchy which is nice because my feet are kind of wide. The silicone ankle supports on the inside feel soft and squishy but provide a nice compression as well as the copper infused fabric. I wear it while in the house since the silicone makes it difficult to wear with sneakers but since your toes are out, you could comfortably wear this brace with sandals or flip flops. The material it is made from makes it easy to wash as well.
