i didnt know if these would work or not...my dr told me i needed an ankle fusion since i broke it twice (didnt know) and it now zigzags....this holds the ankle firmly and has greatly reduced my pain and the shifting of the ankle while i walk...i put it on after showering, wear it all day and take off at bedtime....please buy 1 size bigger than you need...i bought my first one according to the chart of shoe sizes and it was very hard to get on and off...they said i needed a medium, second one i bought was a large and it works wonders....worth every penny
