I've only ever used this on my orchids. Have done so for years with great results. However, this last bottle I bought has chunky, hairy looking strands in it like it had expired or was kept below or above rec'd storage temperatures. Also, this bottle didn't have a seal to pull off when I screwed off the lid for the first time like I remember others having! It wasn't even completely full. Obviously the fertilizer is contaminated because I was sent a bottle that was previously used or returned, kept in bad storage conditions, and probably had expired. Worst of all, I'm not seeing any of the usual benefits my orchids normally get from using this, so I don't know what's going on.
I'm mad because this has always worked so well and never ever had an issue with the container and fertilizer and has been worth the price. Now I'm really not sure.

MSU is what many considered to be the best orchid fertizer out there. I have to agree. I have over 200 orchids, of various genera, and this is what I have used the past 3 years at a rate of around 30-40 ppm of Nitogen with every watering which is about a 1/4 teaspoon of fertilizer per gallon of water. Most of my orchids get watered every day or every other day. This is a small container but it will last about a year for me. One thing to note: this fertizer is for PURE WATER. That means reverse osmosis water or rain water, NOT TAP WATER. The product has buffers in it that will change the ph, a good thing for pure water. If you use this with tap water, the fertized water will become very alkaline. There is another type of MSU fertilizer for well or tap water.

My Orchid LOVES this product - she can't wait for the monthly feeding. I am not an orchid pro but this product makes me look like one!

Wish there were better mixing directions on the bottle. I have an ro system in my gh and normally use a dry product. Not sure how to calculate how much product to use for the 1% concentration I need.
