This does not taste like tua, but the point is it's a GREAT replacement for those trying not to eat any types of animal products. You can't just eat it out of the packet plain, but I added in on siratcha when I make my sandwiches or wraps with these packets, and it tastes awesome! Also, everyone at my office even the non-vegans always gets jealous when they see me eat them! I would definitely buy again and try different flavors as well.

For a vegan protein, this is great! I've read the other negative reviews and I think it's a bit reaching. Very rarely will you find a soy or vegan protein product that has the exact texture or taste as the real animal product. That being said, there are some products that taste better than others. This product, although it does not taste like tuna or have the flakey texture of it, is still a very good meat alternative. The lemon pepper flavor is there and the texture is just fine. As someone who grew up on vegetarian and meat products, this is far from the worst meat alternative product. These are great in wraps and excellent on top of a salad. You can read reviews and make your decision from that or you can give it a try and make up your own mind. Taste is relative!

I read the bad reviews and hesitate to buy this product. I am really glad I gave it a try. This is a really convenient package for lunches to go. I liked the flavor and texture. It is definitely going to be a permanent fixture in my pantry. Note: I have been a vegan for awhile so I wasn't comparing this to tuna.
