Unbelievably quiet.. I love it!!

I really can not believe how quiet this thing is compared to other air compressors I own that I always thought were pretty quiet.

Pros:
1. There is a huge noticeable difference in how loud it is versus pancake style oil less compressors I have. It is also much much quieter then my larger 30 gallon 220 unit. That is not to say you want to put it in a baby's room or have a conversation over it but you wont mind using it around pets / children and could have a conversation if you needed to.
2. Moves large amounts of air and fills quickly.
3. Inflated a 33" tire on my jeep as fast as any other compressor I own.
4. Is lighter than it looks.
5. Good user manual
6. Feels well made and constructed well - large amount of brass pieces versus cheaper coated steel.

Cons:
1. Is still heavy compared to some smaller compressors
2. Could use a better way to store the cord.

Overall: I highly recommend this product. It is now my go to compressor for smaller jobs that don't require the 30 gallon in place unit.

For many years I owned a noisy compressor that took up a lot of space in my garage. Sure, with its high PSI, it could handle everything I threw at it. But anytime I used it, the neighbors would know.

Enter the Excell SAC22HPE 1 Hp Ultra Quiet 2 gallon air compressor. It's compact form factor makes it easy to store and it's relatively lightweight, making for easy transport. At 1 HP and, 125 psi, and a 2 gallon air capacity, it can be used for anything but heavy duty applications. While great for inflating, nailing, stapling painting and greasing -- impact wrenches, air hammers and other demanding tools are not recommended. Still, it will work for 95% of what I need it for. You'll need to get a hose and any attachments as this is only the compressor with power cord, air filter, and an instruction manual.

With it's sturdy roll cage design, it should stand up to plenty of abuse. The best part of it though is the whisper quiet operation (61dBA). When I turn it on, someone twenty feet away might not even notice. The motor just hums along without the racket of traditional compressors. Turn it off and there is a slight hiss of escaping air and then silence. Nice. I hope get years of excellent service from this Excell unit. With the long-life, maintenance-free, oil-free motor, I think I will.

The Excell air compressor lives up to its billing as a quiet air compressor, compared to other air compressors. It's about the same noise level as a regular conversation--so while it's not silent, it is not going to hurt your ears the way other compressors can. The compressor weighs about 45lbs--which means I could move it without my husband's help and the roll-cage that protects the compressor also provides a handle when moving it.

I took off a point because there should have been some note in the directions that you should use thread tape when attaching the intake filter to the compressor (on the threaded connection) and not only was this not mentioned, but there was no thread tape provided, either. Not providing the tape wasn't a big deal, but I'd like to have had that mentioned because I'm a beginner when it comes to devices and tools like this, so I only knew about that because my husband advised me.

Please note that you will need to purchase the following separately:
Thread Tape (to attach the filter)
Fittings and hoses

It makes sense that you need to buy the fittings and hoses separately because you will need to buy what will work for your purpose. For example, we got a nylon hose (it's one of those coil ones) and a tire inflation fitting (you can get one with a pressure gauge, which is handy) so that we could fill tires on our tractor and cars.

The compressor is simple to operate and good for light duty tasks such as filling tires and applying finishing nails for construction projects. It provides 125 PSI max and it takes about a minute to fill the air tank to begin your task. The pressure regulator gauge is easy to read (thank goodness) and located in a good place to keep an eye on it.

The best thing about the compressor is how quiet it is to operate and the fact that I can move it (it's a little heavy for me, but do-able). That means I can cart it over to my car to fill the tires and I don't need ear protection when I run it.

The Excell SAC22HPE 1 Hp Ultra Quiet 2 gallon Air Compressor however lives up to its name"“it is very quiet compared to typical air compressors.

This compressor is meant for light duties (eg tire inflation and finishing nailing)"“it has 1.0 HP, a 2 gallon air tank capacity, and provides 125 psi max. Filling the air tank takes about 60 seconds, and provides 3.0 SCFM @ 40 psi and 2.0 SCFM at 90 psi. The compressor weighs 45 pounds, so it's easily movable with the built-in handle. The air compressor has a convenient roll cage design that helps protect the compressor components as well as providing that built-in handle.

In the box you get the air compressor, an instruction manual, and an air intake filter (which must be attached to the compressor). Note that no fittings or hoses are included"“you must provide these separately.

Though not mentioned in the instruction manual, you will need to attach the air intake filter to the compressor. As with any threaded connection, you should use thread tape (also not included) to ensure an airtight seal.

On the front, the pressure regulator gauge is easy to read and the tank pressure gauge is easily accessed.

The best feature of the air compressor is how quiet it is. When running, the sound level is rated at 61 dba, which is comparable to normal conversation loudness levels and less than a typical ceiling fan at medium speed. Compared to other air compressors, I was blown away by how quiet it was.

So overall, the Excell SAC22HPE 1 Hp Ultra Quiet 2 gallon Air Compressor is a winner if you are looking for a very quiet air compressor for light jobs such as tire inflation and finishing nailing. I purchased a coil nylon hose and a tire inflator with pressure gauge because my main purpose for the air compressor is to inflate care and tractor tires. I'm very happy with this air compressor because it is easy to bring in and out of the garage and it is very quiet.
