Overall, I believe this rain fly to be one of the best, if not the best, values on the market today. The quality far exceeds the price point and it's backed by a great warranty. This is a big tarp with lots of tie down points. While other manufacturers have only four tie downs, Legit up's that to nine. More points to secure should things get nasty. I was also very impressed with the material that this rain fly is made from, a nice thick, waterproof, ripstop nylon. I have spent the better part of my life outdoors and know a great value when I see it. This rain fly from Legit is a great value and a quality item. I'm very impressed!

I've had the Legit hammock for a while now and it's awesome. I wanted to go camping in it but needed a rain fly. I didn't even know they had this until I started looking around. I decided to try Legit as I love their hammock. It arrived in 2 days and I used it this past weekend. I'm very pleased with it. It's great quality, strong but light weight. Everything needed came with it. It was easy to figure out how it goes on. Definitely at an angle to cover the hammock from rain. I absolutely love this rainfly. And it's affordable! Thanks Legit.

My boyfriend and I just moved to Portland, Oregon, but we don't want the rain to interfere with our camping hamocking time. We both have Legit Camping double hammocks and bring them everywhere with us! So when I saw that Legit Camping came out with a rain tarp I jumped at the opportunity. It has actually been really sunny in Portland the past few days (we were surprised too!) so we haven't had the chance to test out this rain fly yet. I did set it up over my camping hammock today and it is definitely large enough to completely protect a Legit Camping double hammock from the rain (or I imagine it would be pretty effective at shading the hammock during those hot summer days).

It comes with 4 sturdy, lightweight pegs and 6 pieces of rope. The pegs and rope come in a separate little bag (much like how it is organized for a tent), they fit into the slightly larger bag with the tarp... it does take a little maneuvering but it all fits well and I liked the compact size of the entirety of the product. In all it is roughly the size of my camping hammock (see picture, hammock is orange and gray is tarp).

Along with multiple other reviewers, I really wish that instructions had been included with the tarp. I love the simplicity of the Legit Camping hammock and was hoping that this would be similar. I went to use it in a park today, and so I wasn't able to look up instructions online like I would at home. From what I understand, there is a lot of flexibility with how you set it up, so maybe instructions weren't included so that you could set it up however you think is best, but if you don't have much experience with tarps like this I would definitely recommend looking up some directions before you set out to use it.

As with all of my other Legit Camping products, I am very impressed with the quality of this tarp. It seems very well constructed and sturdy. We am looking forward to using this not just for use of our camping hammocks but for anything that we want to do outside but can't do because of the rain.

FYI - I got a promotional deal on this tarp for trying out this product and writing my opinion. I have been so impressed with Legit Camping gear in the past that I was excited to get the chance to try another. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a good sturdy rain tarp!

Tarp arrived a day earlier than expected but sadly the day after my camp out (my fault). I already had a tarp similar to this one and I was not disappointed. I'm not a gram weenie and these tarps are great because they are affordable (unlike the silpoly or silnylon) and still pretty light weight. They fit in a backpack easily without taking too much space or adding too much weight. Anyone who has wrestled a stiff cheap tarp knows how exciting it is to be able to own one of these soft flexible jewels without breaking the bank. I tied the included (nice) ropes to the side tabs, made a pre-made ridge line with prussic lines for the ridge tabs already attached (and ready to accept toggles) and it takes about two minutes to put up. Stitching looks fine for my use and I believe the tabs will hold as long as I don't abuse them. Will try to update when I get a chance to put it to the test.

Excited that this just arrived! It started raining mid-morning last time I camped with my hammock so this will be perfect. Material is nice and sturdy with what feels like some sort of waterproof coating on the inside, edges have a more durable fabric seam tape which is more ideal for holding tension. the stakes are nice and light- i'll probably use them with my tent too, so that's a super plus. only quip is that i wish the storage bag was attached to the fly like how Legit does with the hammock.

one thing to note is that the fly i received is a medium grey [which i actually prefer] instead of black like the picture. so keep that in mind if you're keen on a black fly.
