Finally, a product that truly works!

I am absolutely amazed at the difference the sleeves have made in my comfort and mobility. I have severe arthritis, multiple tears in both meniscus, synovitis, and frequent bleeding in the knee joints and surrounding tissues. Constant pain and swelling in both knees has kept me in a wheelchair for the last 6 years since I am not a candidate for surgery. Recently a brace fabricator tried to make custom braces but each product has been unsatisfactory. I was not hopeful that there would be any product that would help me. But I was wrong! When I first put the Athledic sleeves on, the compression was comforting and provided a sense of security. The ability to adjust the placement and tension of both straps provided superior support and customization. It took a few hours but the pain level was decreased in each knee by at least half of what it had been. After a couple of days of wearing the sleeves I couldn't believe how much the swelling had decreased. I have been able to stand and actually walk short distances. The sleeves prevented the hyperextension in one knee that has been a persistent problem. I now have hope and a reason to believe that the compression, support, and adjustibility of the sleeves will produce even greater results in my comfort and mobility. Every similar product in the past has slipped out of place, lost elasticiy, and failed to produce results. Just the opposite with the Athledic sleeves so far. I have no words to describe the difference the sleeves have made in my comfort and quality of life each day, and expect even greater results with time.

The support is great, the silicone holding it in place can cause injury. Per the measurement chart, 5" above the knee 20", so I ordered L. The 1st night I wore it, the silicone dug into my thigh and rubbed blisters on my legs. I am standing for 10 hr shifts with minimum movement. I adjusted the location of the band several times during my shift to alleviate the pressure and rubbing, but all I did was create a bigger irritation. Overall the brace did support my knee very well. I would suggest, if you measure close to the high end of the chart, I would move to the next size up. I will be buying the XL to try after my blisters heal and the welps go away :/

update to review...I had to return these due to being alergic to the rubber on the inside top that helps keep them secure. It started with red welts which turned to blisters as i continued to wear them. They really wear great. I had no idea i had an allergy until wearing. Awesome. I have rheumatoid arthritis in all my joints and my knees really ache at the end of the day. I ordered the extra large. The top is alittle tight but my leg is 20 inch in diameter. If it stretches a bit, it will fit perfect. They won't slide down. They have a rubber i/2 inch band on the inside of the top that helps keep them in place along with the straps you put on and adjust them to fit as you want. The sleeves are 12 1/2 inches long. The bottom of the sleeve fits my calf approx 15 inches. Very comfortable even while bending your knee. This is the 3rd type of brace I have purchased and it is definitely the best. You do have to watch where you put the straps after taking it off. I just stick them back on the top where you place them when you are wearing it. You will love this brace. I bought two.

So far the best one. Right away I could see the difference compared to the others I've tried. The others the calf and thigh holes were near the same. Strangling your thigh. This one you could see the difference right away. Fits comfortable on both ends. Problem I had with others is to get a fit on my chubby thigh it offered no support on the knee. Like I can adjust support with the straps. Like I saw a few other comments it would be nice if the hook and loop patch on top was about 2" wider so you could adjust the strap better, but it will stick to the material. That was another complaint is the hook loop fastener does stick well to other parts of the brace causing them to look messy, so I quickly fold them over when taking it off so it won't snag the rest of the brace. I use mine to protect my knee and give it a little support during the day while cleaning, chores, gardening etc. so it is surely getting its use. Likely will order another should I wear this one out.

I just got this for both of my knees and tried it on a HIIT tabata cardio work out and was incredibly impressed so I came back online to write about it. I have a bad knee that is a combination of a possible meniscus tear and patella instability. I am 28 years old and average size. My thigh was about 18inches so I got the mediums which fit perfect. The gripper around the thigh works very well and not once did I have to fix it during my workout. I do recommend to follow the instructions and do not get the velcro onto the wrap it is horrible to try to get off. My knee didn't have any pain (just some small pops every once and awhile) and I was able to do reverse squats without any issues. I am very happy I got these braces as I had not found anything to work since.
