I am very pleased with the performance of the Conquer Bike Trainer

I am very pleased with the performance of the Conquer Bike Trainer. I had it setup and was riding in a matter of a few minutes. The ride is very smooth. I recommend it for anyone who's serious about riding indoors.

It is not quiet at all as the description says. However I will say I have a mountain bike with big treads so that may contribute to the noise. The mechanism is fine however I will say that the directions are missing a step! If it weren't for that it would have taken maybe 15 minutes to put together. But because of this missing step it took almost an hour (and a sore back) trying to figure this damn thing out. So if you buy this know that the two small screws you are left with at the end go into the sides of piece that lifts up to meet the tire to spin. Otherwise you have no idea how to get the piece to stay up. Good luck!

Received the fluid trainer and set up was very easy. The first time I used it for 30 minutes and was very happy with smoothness and seemed quiet until I really started pedaling hard. It got loud but still tolerable. I also noticed the fluid housing was warm to the touch. The second time I used it for 45 minutes and it now leaks fluid. Next time I will spend a little more money for a better quality product.
Inexpensive & convenient, but not built to last.

This is the first and only bike trainer I have used. Sturdy structure - poorly built fluid/roller mechanism. The trainer is very convenient and was a fairly inexpensive purchase for a fluid trainer ($100 after a $30 coupon), but it won't last and offers weak resistance.
Air can be heard within the fluid housing, and after a couple of weeks of use (about 200 miles) the trainer has begun to leak. Within a month (about 400 miles) on this trainer, the leak seems to be getting worse and contaminates the roller and tire with oil.
With the compression on the roller set properly, the noise level isn't too bad for a road bike. After about 15min the fluid housing is warm, and after 30 min it is too hot to touch.
To provide any resistance, I must set my gear ratio to max 55:11 on a 700c tire. At a regular cadence, this drives the system over 37mph. This leaves me concerned with putting excessive wear on the drivetrain of my bike.
This trainer could use an improved roller/fluid mechanism. One without air bubbles and a better seal to prevent leaking. Maybe it would also benefit from a thicker oil to offer more resistance. Disappointing, but may be suitable for some.

This trainer is sturdy, quiet and smooth

This trainer is sturdy, quiet and smooth. It's perfect for the casual rider who wants a good spinout inside at a good price. However, because it spins so easily, advanced athletes will not be able to produce enough wattage for a good workout.
