Great value and a lot better than anything else I could find in this price range.

This is a quite nice microscope for the price. It feels very solid and well built. The stand is passable, not as heavy or as stable as I would like but thankfully it can be removed and swapped to something else. I have no complaints at all about picture quality. Video capture as great frame rate as well and the audio capture is quite good for a little built in mic. I've only had it a couple days but so far I have noticed a couple annoyances that keep it from being 5 star. Its a little buggy on the HDMI out and will occasionally try and do 640x480 instead of 1080i making you unplug it and retry. The SD card is a little buggy too. Occasionally will not read or write to the card (I've tried lots of different cards too). I also tested using a W4 Toshiba Flashair wifi SD card using a TF->SD adaptor. It doesn't seem to like that very much with the simultaneous read/write happening, so if you had that idea too might want to skip it. The third issue is feature related, it doesn't let you record video when your using the HDMI out. While none of these things are deal breakers to do keep it from being that perfect 5 star diamond in the ruff.
