We purchased a Joby GorillaPod 500 first, but wanted to go even taller. This tripod really fits the bill! I wouldn't try traveling with this tripod, as it probably wouldn't fit easily in my backpack. But it's great for getting your camera up to face level or higher (when using at a table, desk, or countertop). And the phone adapter fits our ridiculously large iPhone 12s with no problem.

I knew what I was buying, and it works just as I hoped it would. Holds my fairly substantial camera (Gh5 with Sigma art lens) just fine and is able to flex and fit in a verity of places.
My only problem with it is that it didn't come with the 3/8" adapter... It's not the end of the world, I already had one laying around so I am able to use it, but I am unimpressed with joby for missing that. Really that's the only thing keeping it from 5 stars in my book. The tripod itself is exactly what I needed.
