I was totally in love with this gadget for the first 30 days that I owned it. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought two more for gifts. Sadly, after two months of owning this and not being to charge it consistently for the last 6 weeks, it has died and will not charge at all anymore. I have made sure to follow the instructions to clean the end terminals, store it properly, etc. as I had high hopes for this little fire wonder. In fact, I truly thought this was going to solve many problems I've had in the past with other lighters. A disappointment.

Excellent for lighting low sitting candles. It will freak people out (learned from showing others how it works) because it looks like a miniature cattle prod -makes a hissing sound which adds to the menacing appearance of the sparks. The safety cover is a nice feature if you have very young children, but I wish it actually locked in place because an older child (toddler) will probably be able to easily open this. That said, it's best to just keep it out of reach of anyone not mature enough to use it properly.
