I purchased this "CLARK'S Food Grade Mineral Oil & Wax Applicator" to keep my board oiled up. I generally clean the board first with water. Then dry it off so you can use the mineral oil to keep your board in great condition.
It doesn't take a whole bunch of oil to cover the entire board.

Was gifted a bamboo cutting board and wanted to actually take care of it, as opposed to the plastic ones I beat the heck out of, and decided to get this with some oil.
I can say from previously trying to treat/care for wood cutting boards that were not mine, having this applicator scrub makes things much easier to apply. All it takes is a few drops across the surface and I can successfully coat the whole board without getting anything on my hands or needing to use a rag/paper towel.
Easy to hold, feels nice, and stores very easy. I am unsure as to the overall lifetime of this piece but so far I have no inclination that it shouldn't last awhile.
