I have been using an AREDS2 formula for several years upon recommendation of my Opthalmologist. I purchased this brand primarily on best pricing available. The only difference between the ingredients in this versus the NEI formula is a lower amount of Vitamin E. The NEI recommends 400 I.U per day but this formula has 134 I.U.
I bought Vitamin E softgels separately to supplement this brand. Even with the additional Vitamin E purchase it was still cost effective.
I do highly recommend this product as long as the pricing level is maintained. If the pricing changes I will consider other brands. I have signed up for auto delivery every 60 days with original pricing for a 60 day supply at $9.35. The current pricing for my next delivery has increased to $11.95 which is still favorable pricing.
