I keep this in the back of my truck and use it to hold down 5 gallon waters so they do not move. That is the main reason I bought this and I love it. Its very strong and I love the that you can extend it and then twist it if I needed it tighter. It has a locking feature so once activated you can pull it down which is nice to have.

Bought this for the back of my truck, and it's a nice heavy bar. Ratchet portion has a lock to keep it from collapsing, screws that support the pads are nice and heavy, and the bar itself is made of heavier steel. Should work nicely for heavier loads.
