High quality product. I lost my army issued Etool and didnt want to spend 50$ on some used one. I gave this a try and I would rather have the Sgt E tool. I feel like the metal shovel is thicker than on the standard issue. I was skeptical of the made in China but it is a quality made product. Plus you save 10$ on the holder it comes with. If i purchased a used etool with the carrying case separately I'm out 50$. Only spent like 30$ and it works great.

As a United States Marine, an entrenching tool (e-tool) was part of my standard issue. Wherever we went, our shovels were always affixed to our rucksack. We would use our e-tools for digging foxholes in all sorts of terrain. Whenever a latrine was needed, our e-tools were deployed and quickly put to work. Good quality, heavy gauge metal, good size. Love that it folds compact, just make sure the big nut is unscrewed all the way if you are struggling to fold the handle, we did this wrong a few times before we realized what we were doing wrong. We used this shovel pretty roughly for digging dirt and moving logs around in the fire ring during our week of camping and it showed no signs of weakness.
