Very sturdy and well functioning pedal for the price point.
Perfect for folks who want stiff response

I purchased this because of both price and portability. This pedal folds compactly and fits in my smaller hardware bags.
My playing style is to use beater rebound while playing heel-down. I often just feather my bass drum, so for jazz and some pop and blues styles this is perfect for me. It does not seem to have a wide tension range, it's either stiff or very stiff, so if you are looking for a pedal that goes real loose you may want to keep looking.
The beater that comes with it is fairly generic. I use Vater Vintage Bombers with big, fluffy beaters, so honestly did not use the included beater. I did do some adjustments of the beater angle to fine tune the way the pedal feels and reacts to my playing, and was able to quickly dial it in.
For me this is all the pedal I need. For folks who need to bury the beater into the head or play super fast bass drum patterns this may not suit their needs. But I personally love it to the point that I am going to purchase a spare.

Great portable, smooth, stable pedal

Love this pedal. Wanted a more portable pedal I can put in my hardware bag vice taking a dedicated pedal case.
This is a great pedal because the pedalboard folds but it is a double chain so it is really stable. Action is really smooth, feels like my Pearl Eliminator pedal.
