These little hatchimals are a great gift for children (mine are 3 and 5) and contain some of the most cute creatures I've seen in the toy department. My 5 year old could proudly "hatch" them on his own as well, so that's a plus. The only "negative," If i can call it that, is that the egg shell makes a little bit of a mess (I'm still finding shell pieces around the house).

I'm very picky with the toys I let my kids buy. Especially with the cost of things now. I was very satisfied with this item because of the quality. The product itself is fun, and just adorable. I don't think any kid I know would not enjoy this. My kids normally toss their toys to the side, but this they've enjoyed every moment since we purchased them. Hatchimal eggs are awesome. My daughter is too young to be a part of the Hatchimals craze, thank goodness. My husband, however, wanted to get her a Hatchimals for Christmas but we decided she would prefer Rex from Toy Story since that is something she is into. Instead I found these and thought they would make a good stocking stuffer. They ended up being one of my daughter's favorite gifts this Christmas. There was some frustration getting them "hatched", again she's younger so she just wanted a toy. I think what is great about this set is the egg carton case to keep all the animals in. She enjoys playing with them with her other Disney figurines and puts them away carefully in their case when done.
Tons of mileage for your kids. Great for rewarding kids.

This is the cheapest place to find this already cheap toy. Our kids love it and we use it as a way to reward them for good deeds. They love opening it like a present, collecting, and playing with them. If you are looking for a gift for a young kid they will love it more than just about anything. Don't get me wrong the fun last maybe a day or so per egg, but so do most toys. The good thing is that you don't feel as bad when they never play with them again.
