Ran into a few snags right out of the gate but everything worked out in the end. First the aluminum door, which was high quality & heavy duty, didn't fit my coop opening. (it was 8 inches & my opening was 12 inches). I replaced the panel with an aluminum panel from Lowes, not as nice but it saved me from carpentry work. Next the unit wouldn't stay on. The light would blink once than go dead. If you jiggled on moved the wire it would come back on than stop again. It was a problem with the battery pack. One of the wires appeared to be broken. Chad @ Happy Hen House was very helpful and remedied the situation by replacing the pack with in 2 days!. Door now works wonderfully! Photo eye is accurate and my chickens are safe when I am not home to lock the door. Thanks Hapy Hen House!

We've had this door installed for two days and it didn't close tonight. Took out batteries to reset motor and it closed about an inch. Seems the motor or string is jammed, wish it had an override option.
** Update: after speaking with the owner of the company, he was able to help troubleshoot and I corrected the problem by moving the string to the left side of the post inside the motor. Easy fix and the door is up and running again. Customer service is excellent. This coop door opener is high quality and the door itself is solid. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

OMG!!!! This is the best product ever!! I've had ALOT of issues with coon and mink getting into the chicken run and closing up the hen hose for the night in the summer is tough because it gets dark so late and I get up for work at 3am so I ordered this door. The installation was a breeze. I had an issue with the battery pack at first but I messaged company on Facebook and owner responded right away. And I will say that he did everything possible to help me out and I have a excellent working automatic door!! Love love love this door and customer service is the best!! I will (and have) recommend to everyone!! If you have any doubt try it out... You won't be disappointed!!!! Love love love!! And my chickens are happy too!!!

Fantastic product! Simple and easy to use! Customer service is above and beyond excellent! No regrets at all, purchasing this product! Now, I don't have to worry about asking the neighbors to open/close the coop door when we are gone.
