Nice, large numbers atomic clock
John E. Marlowe✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 30, 2023
I've been using La Cross atomic clocks for years, but needed to replace one and they don't have one like this. The only thing I miss on this clock is an indoor humidity display. Setup was decent and the clock synchronized with Colorado the first day of use. There was a minor problem with setting the time zone, but I worked around that. I've only had this clock for a few days now and I'll be sure and update this review if necessary in the future. I would have rated it a "5" except for lack of humidity display and the problem with setting the time zone.

This clock has a very large display that can be read from about 30 feet away. Set up is a breeze. Read the directions. Install the batteries and don't touch any buttons after. It sets the date and time from the atomic clock signal for you out the box. The only manual change you have to make is for the time zone you live in. It will pair the outdoor sensor for temperature during the setup. Can't say anything bad about any Marathon brand clock I have purchased. Very happy with it. Time will tell but Marathon clocks are some of the best.
Remote sensor reports way off temperature (Revised)
dr_jojos✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 21, 2023
The sensor does not report accurate temperature. I happened to order an extra remote sensor and tried it as well. The same problem. They reported bogus temperatures that are at least 5-9 degrees different from other similar clocks I have at home. I have 3 different brands and they all reported within 1, 2 degrees different within each other but this clock reported the worst and ridiculous temperature. I even compared with online and Alexa reported temperature so if you only have this one clock, you won't be able to see what I saw.

Revised (11-14): it turned out that the location of where you put the sensor is extremely important. Although I put it in a shade area like the instruction booklet instructed but there was a window of a about 2 hours when the sun did shine on it and that's why it made the sensor reported 8-10 degrees higher than normal. I happened to do my test during that window. So the lesson learned is the sensor should be place in an area where it's consistent during the whole day. I even noticed a huge different when I compare sensors placed in the front and the back of the house. I revised my review and gave this clock a 5-star (for now) because everything seems solid and nice.
Good, but old model was better

Headline says it all. I picked this up to replace my Sharper Image model which is made by the same company. My older one I used for many years, but the outdoor sensor broke.

This newer model is nearly as good but just a tad smaller. I think the older model had easier to see numbers on it.

My biggest complaint with the newer model is the battery life. This one uses AA batteries but the old one used C batteries. Yes, the new model is lighter and more slim, but that means the batteries don't last as long. I HATE changing the batteries out on this thing, and because I don't live in North America the atomic clock feature is useless.

Still a good clock and worth buying, but I can't give it 5 stars.
Easy to Read

I purchased this clock for my 94 year old father who can't see very well. He mounted it on his living room wall. The font is very large and he can read the clock all the way from his kitchen and dining room. He loves this clock! He also enjoys the feature of the indoor and outdoor temperature.
