It s very sturdy, def won't fall apart. But I m not sure that it s a good fit for a medium dogs. Only for small breeds. The pillow doesn't provide enough cushioning, I have to put something else on the bottom to make sure that my puppy is comfortable and that leaves less room for a pup, I M just not sure it s comfortable enough.
But it looks very cute and really sturdy. I think it s a good match for a smaller breeds.
P.S. My puppy is an Australian Labradoodle 4 month old, 17 Lb. Very soon she ll outgrow it unfortunately. Just seems like a waste :(

After not biking for many years, I just brought home a Townie Electra 3i and a straw hat bike helmet. Our 18-pound Bichon loves to go with me in the car, and I wanted to take her on bike rides. I was worried a bit about safety with a front-mount/handle bar basket. The rear-mount is just right! It's nice and sturdy, she fits nicely, and most importantly she's safely "buckled in" with the adjustable tethers, just like in the car. We will be adding a liner so she's a bit more comfy.

I was super excited today when both of my baskets arrived! The large rear willow basket fit on the back of the bike easily with the zip ties that were provided. The medium willow basket was super easy to attach to the handle bars. I had both puppies in the baskets for a ride around the block within 15 minutes. They seemed to really enjoy it! The baskets came sooner than I expected and are a nice, sturdy quality. But, really, the reason I bought these baskets was because I was sure they were going to be adorable on my new bike with the puppies going for rides and was I ever right! The black straps work well to secure the boys in when they are wearing their harnesses. It didn't feel like they could get out and they were stable when I was riding with both of them. I was a little nervous wondering if I could manage with both of them on the bike- and was so delighted that it was as simple and comfortable as it was!

They must have fixed the thin board,, because mine came with a hecka thick board.....this was a trial run to see how my dog would do. He absolutely loved it.my dog is high energy, and I thought he would be acting a fool, but he sat there, and wanted to go again when I took him out of the basket. Great product. I cant wait to make hime a liner and Cushion for the basket. Probably not necessary. But this mom is over the top with my doggie.
