I'm using these on our deck to keep the birds from landing and the cats from jumping up on the railing. It's worked well and they were easy to secure using simple zip ties. The spikes are pointy and would be uncomfortable for an animal but they aren't so sharp that they could cut someone's hand if they touched it accidentally. Great humane alternative to deter the wildlife.

These are very pokey so a bird definitely won't sit on them at all. My neighbor put bird feeders in their back yard and birds always poop on my fence. I'm hoping this will prevent this from happening anymore.
