Assembly was a breeze, well packaged and instructions were clearly written. Had a problem with the adjustable seat back not locking in the full upright position and one call to teeter resulted in a replacement part arriving in less than one week. Unfortunately the replacement worked slightly better but it would also slip to the next position with just a little movement during the workout. By having a spare to work with I was able to modify the tapered bushing and now it works fine. This is a new product for Teeter and while they said there had not been many problems with the seat back I suspect they will modify the part on future production runs. It does not have any of the electronic programs that the higher priced units do but I would never use those any way. Teeter customer service was excellent.

This unit is whisper quiet, solidly built , extremely smooth and well engineered. I expect to get many years of use.
The reason for only three stars are the following:
>> the resistance knob has virtually NO usable indicator for the resistance setting.
This makes it next to impossible to go to a specific resistance. Even a sticker with numbers would be something.
>> the bottom of the upright tubes (where they fit into the main unit) are just a bit too small. This required over-tightening the attachment screws
so you don't get any movement, otherwise each direction change has a little bump.
>> the hardware is packed in a large blister pack which would be fine BUT there was not enough glue attaching the cardboard to and the back
separated in one section resulting in screws and washers being loose inside the shipping box. After searching the whole box and all
the wrappings, I ended up going to the local Big-Box store to find replacements.
Luckily it was only washers and sheet metal screws; none of the special screws & curved washers.
One last comment; I know it did not come with a heart monitor, so I purchased one for a whopping $20; They really should consider adding it.

Best and easiest elliptical recumbant exerciser for those of us with artificial joints!

One heck of a machine, made to last forever. Very sturdy, comfortable, smooth and quiet. A exercise machine one would use for years to come. Took me around 2 hours to put together. All the machined parts fit perfectly. Most of the parts you just drop into place and drop in pins that are provided. Took almost as long to unpackaged the unit as it did to put together. Heavy duty packaging box and well protected assembly parts. Main body is shipped preassembled. The weight of the unit is around 110 lbs. I took it apart in the garage and easily carrier the pieces upstairs to be assembled. Price wise a great buy! Best bang for your buck!
