Great value

I'm very satisfied with this product. The foam is decently thick for a instillation which in turn makes the sound dampening really good. The foam is also water repellant and extremely sticky. The adhesive worked very well and I'm confident that it will last the lifetime of the car. It came with enough foam to cover most of my compact SUV.
Does ok but rips easy

It does ok at killing sound but the paper will rip very easy. I am a little bit of a perfectionist so it really bothered me when the project was done. I prefer the shiny sound deadening material to this stuff.
This is basically adhesive-backed landau foam.

It's VERY lightweight. I used it to line the underside of my dash (yes, I'm a nut and took my whole dash out of my car trying to make it quieter).
As you may have gleaned from other reviews, I wouldn't say this product is for soundPROOFing. But it can play a role--namely, to decouple surfaces from each other. For best results eliminating sound (paticularly in a vehicle), use constrained-layer damping to reduce panel resonance (e.g., Dynamat, Killmat, etc.), followed by a closed-cell foam (like this Siless liner), and top it with something to BLOCK the sound like mass-loaded vinyl.
I do like this product, though. The adhesive and backing is SUPERB--the best I've ever used. It is sticky, so have it where you want it when you bear down and apply it. If your surface is well-prepped, it won't come off (it'll destroy the foam if you try to). And the paper backing peels away clean (not all do). So, five stars for adhesion and backing!
In summary, use this for lining panels or surfaces to eliminate rattling, and you can use it beneath mass-loaded vinyl to decouple it from other surfaces. Solid product all around!

Good buy for the money

I replaced the speakers in my 2009 Tacoma and used this product to sound deaden the doors. Applied it on the inside of the exterior skin the best I could. Probably better material available but at much higher costs. I thought this was a good value. Easy to cut and apply and it stuck well. Time will tell if it holds up in the Texas heat. I used some heavy duty wipes to clean the doors before applying which I strongly recommend doing. I only gave it 3 of 5 stars on noise cancellation simply because I really don't know how much difference it made.
Good for sound deading

Used with some butyl mat to get rid of sound and rattles
